Posner's Art Store

Stopped in here to look around and walked out with a few goodies. They have art supplies, local goodies, and lots of stickers and fun pens. They have a big assortment of pens, markers and paints. I was impressed with their prices too. The staff were also very friendly and had some good music playing!

Such a great store filled with helpful people! Amy repaired two frames for me while I waited! Definitely go to Posner's for any framing needs.

This is a fantastic FAMILY OWNED business with the best staff. They always help me find what I need and if they can't find it the order for me at a competitive price. They all know my name and check-in on my life which is very kind. The two sisters run the store with Jenny being to SM they are a great team. They are not always the cheapest it can be very hard to compete with Amazon and some of these giant retail stores. They do everything they can to be competitive. I personally don't mind spending a dollar or two more to shop local and support our community. This group of people deserve Tucson support. They have a wide range of products and everything a beginner artist might need and more advanced products. So, give this local gem your support! I couldn't think of a better business that deserves it. Lastly, I forgot to mention they have a loyalty card that allows you to get $10 off for every hundreds spent on next purchase. This program is great and helps offset the slightly higher prices you may find on a product or two due to big box attempting to gobble up our local gems. Go support them!

I love this store. I went there with my friend from California to just browse while waiting for my fiancee, Darin. The nice guy behind the cash register is very nice and helpful. Thank you for helping Darin today.

I realllllly want Posners to be better than it actually is. The staff has always been nothing but awesome and extremely helpful and friendly, which is kinda the only reason I keep going back. Their stock is really not that great. They don't carry many paint colors or brushes, and the displays they do have are very empty much of the time. I expect a local art store to have more unique paint colors and more specialty brushes (or even just standard brushes which they also have almost none of) than the chain store does, but it's just not happening at Posners no matter how many times I come back and check. It's a real bummer.They do carry a line of Princeton brushes that I like, but again, they were mostly out of stock. I managed to find one that I could use, though. And for a decent price, too. Much of their supplies are a bit overpriced, however. Especially the paint and medium. Which would be ok if they carried colors or brands that I can't get elsewhere.They do have an ok selection of pastels, pencils, and markers. Their canvas selection is decent, too, but priced on the higher end of what I would consider acceptable.Posners is not the best art store around, but their staff is the nicest. I'll keep popping in to see what they have in stock, and to buy stuff every so often.

I can't give Posners enough stars. I have been shopping there since 2016 when my daughter started art school. I have spent a LOT of money at this store. I have been fortunate enough to have gotten to know the entire family well and love them all. Jenny would go out of her way to get you anything you need. I find the complaints from other reviewer hard to believe. I mean parking is not really within Posners purvue. And even if you have to park in the garage, it still is only a 5 minute walk. Also they have never sold gesso for more then $15. I think this "Cake" person has never even set foot in the store

They wanted 48 dollars for a pint of gesso. Amazon had it for 18. Things I needed that they said on the phone were in stock were not in stock after spending 45 minutes just to find parking. Sad.

It was close to 5:00 on a Sunday afternoon (closing time), when I called Posner's Art Store looking for an item that was out of stock at a store across town. The clerk found the item and agreed to hold it for me as I raced against the clock to get across town. I arrived just after 5:00-the clerk had the item at the counter. She was very personable and said she was happy to wait--and was prepared to wait even longer. A very positive experience.

I needed something small for a project I'm working on - not a lot of money to be spent. The young woman that manages Posner's could not have been more helpful. She actually listened to what I was asking for, looked at the project I was trying to duplicate and while she didn't have the stock paper I needed, she directed me to a different store where I might be able to find the paper. Again, she took the time, listened and helped me. I will definitely avoid the bigger craft/art stores, where the attitude are terrible and not helpful, and return here for everything I need. Yeah small businesses in Tucson!!!

Nice people. Well stocked. Prices are reasonable...it's locally owned and family friendly
