Our homeowners insurance went through Poplin for water mitigation. The initial response for an estimate was fairly quick (next day), however when I was given a time they would arrive to begin the mitigation, they were several hours late. Once they finished the initial mitigation I was told they would get in touch with me on Sunday to remove the fans/humidifiers...fast forward to Thursday when I still hadn't heard from them. They finally got someone out on Friday, 5 days later than they said they would. At the same time I had contacted the receptionist about having someone out to also do a roof estimate, I was told I'd be called by end of business with a response - but you guessed it, 3 days later with no response I called back only to be told they were at least a month out with someone to get the roof repair estimate. Overall would not recommend; we only used them because that's who our insurance went through.

My insurance company recommended this company, even though they are 2 hours away for my location, this I never understood. They did show up the day of the damage and took out the drywall and insulation, installed fans and a dehumidifier. After that is when we had issues. Being 2 hours away they started late and left early. The workmanship of them needs to be upgraded, the texture they tried to match didn't, the baseboards were left with sharp edges. The cabinets they replaced had to have a skin attached to match the color of the original ones, well they didn't get that right and had to come back to attach new skins. They removed an RO system from the sink cabinet and wouldn't put it back in. I tried to get a plumber to reinstall it and due to warranty issues they wouldn't touch it because they didn't remove it. I did finally get it reinstalled. After I told them were to get the same paint that was in our house and sent them a picture of the formula they used a different shade. Now I have two different shades of paints in our house. There was a lot of days that they couldn't work for one reason or another. Since we had to be out of the house while they did there work two storage boxes were put in front. After they pack us into these storage boxes did the work then unpacked us, somehow we are missing some items. Not saying or accusing anyone or anything just stating facts, we are missing things. In my personal opinion I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

We had a wind burst that damaged our carport and roof. Poplin was recommended by our insurance company and we were delighted with the work they did. They were quick to estimate and get the job dobe. We were going on vacation and it was important they finished before we left! The communication, workmanship and willingness to meet our deadline were all perfect! I'd highly recommend them!

If I could give them a zero, I would. I have filed a complaint with our insurance company warning them of their practices. We hired them to extract black mold from under the kitchen sink, should have been a fairly easy job. They destroyed the custom cabinet in the process, one cabinet. Because it was custom they proposed, and got approval from our insurance company to replace the entire kitchen cabinets... $22,000. I put the brakes on it! Found a local custom cabinet guy & he is working to get it done! $5,000 total with extra cost of the damage poplin caused. Poplin entirely pulled out of the job leaving us with plumbing, drywall & electric to get complete the job. The house has been without a kitchen sink for over 2 months.

You guys should probably not allow your employees to use company vehicles if they aren't going to be professional in them. Your employees are at Jack in the box drive thru's at 2am, hanging out the windows and yelling so loudly about what types of "bad bitches" they like, using extremely vulgar language, and talking negatively about the people in cars around them in the drive thru area. If I didn't know any better, I'd think your men took your company truck out for a night on the town. I'd remind your workers that they represent your brand when they are driving that truck regardless of the time of day or day of the week!

Let me begin by stating upfront that I am an interior designer and own and operate a commercial interior design business here in Tucson, AZ, so I'm very familiar with the design & construction process and the trades involved and I am super particular! We had water damage to one of our restrooms and since we had intended to eventually remodel both our restrooms, master bedroom, home office and laundry room, we expanded the scope to include all 5 spaces. Despite the inherent challenges that come with building during industry wide shipping delays and material shortages, Poplin Construction did an amazing job keeping the project on track. From beginning to end, the project took roughly 12 weeks to complete. Our project manager, Kylie Sweet, took great care to ensure that the project stayed on track and when there were issues that needed resolving, Kylie was quick to respond and make it right. Kylie was quick to respond to any and all questions and when an issue came up, she was quick with a solution. For instance, our millwork was delayed and not due to ship for several months. Kylie secured a local cabinet maker who crafted two custom vanities. The vanities, by the way, are beautiful!I work from home, so I interacted with the trades on a daily basis. The entire Poplin Crew was extremely professional, polite, respectful (I couldn't get them to even use my first name!), and a complete pleasure to have around. At the end of each day, the crew left the job site in pristine condition. Other than a minor issue with a couple members on one of the two tile installer teams, I would not hesitate to welcome them back to our home!Our next project will be a complete kitchen remodel. You can bet that I'll invite Poplin Construction to help us with this next adventure! I have since recommended my closest friend, who also happens to be an interior designer, to go with Poplin for her insurance claim work and she too is very satisfied with the workmanship and the final results!

I used Poplin for a homeowners insurance claim through USSA for a fire that happened at my house. The experience was awful. I had a house fire, and they disposed of the evidence that was being kept for the fire investigator. This ruined my chances any litigation. They got paid and left a mess in my backyard. I had to call and text several times before someone came out to finish cleaning. Now the stucco repair is cracking, and they are telling me that it is not their work. DO NOT USE THEM!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. To start off our home insurance company sent them out to repair water damage from the second floor down into the first floor. They came out within a day or two and then didn't hear from them for about 4-5 weeks. I had to call them and then they said I will talk to the guys that went out for the estimate. Three days pass and I have to call them to get answers about our claim. They told my wife and I to come in and pick out new laminate floors for the whole first floor. When we get there they told us that insurance would only allow us to pick from 3 samples, but if we wanted to upgrade we could pay the difference. They told us that the flooring we picked out was going to be $1,200 more than the insurance company would pay. But the warranty was "great" and if there were any problems with the new flooring it was covered. Well when the guy they sent to install the flooring finally got done after taking like fifteen minute breaks every 10 minutes and 3 days in our house, I asked him why some of the joints looked buckled or damaged? He told me that when we walk on them they will set and fix them selves. Not true! It has now been 2 years and our floor looks like we had a flood in the same area they had fix everything due to water damage. So I called them to come out and look at it and they did on September 2nd 2022. The guys told me that the flooring we paid for is under warranty and so was the workmanship. We didn't hear back from them. I called them yesterday 11/28/22 almost 3 months later. They called me back today 11/29/22 and told me that the flooring manufacturer said that it appears to be water damage and they won't replace it under warranty. So I told Poplin that it appears that they didn't get all the moisture out before installing the new flooring and that they should cover new flooring the lady on the phone said there is no way they didn't get the moisture out because they would never remove the fans before it was dry. So she said she would love to give me a price to replace what they did wrong to start with. What an insult to have her tell me that they did nothing wrong but would love to take more money from me. I don't think so! Why would I ever want to give more money to a company that could care less about there customers. This place should close there doors because they are just ripping people off and could care less about customer service or satisfaction. Please save yourself the pain of working with this company and shop around because they don't have you or your family in best interest all they seem to care about is taking your money. I pray that this review saves someone from making the mistake we made hiring them.
