Pollo Feliz

Roasted chicken was calling my belly, and note new name--**Pollo Nuevo**-- (Pollo Feliz no more) was nearby. Chicken breast was moist, skin flavorful and wing tips a lil crisp to gnaw on, just like I like haha. The drums maybe a tad dry, not as large or tasty as Costco but a great meal nonetheless. $27 Whole chix meal with 2 large sides and fresh flour tortillas and a fresh salsa bar was a decent deal. For 2 hungry adults we had a lot of sides left, 2/3 beans and 95% mac salad but just one breast left and 1ea corn, wheat tortilla for leftovers. Refrieds very tasty, just salty enough and flavorful, medium consistency without being runny or chalky pastey. Other side we chose, the macaroni salad had corn peas and diced ham in a too watery mayo dressing that diluted any real flavor. A squirt of the Caesar dressing in the salsa bar for the iceberg lettuce helped ;)Salsa Bar salsas are delish and all are mild, Avo, tomatilla, pico and fresh tomato along with fresh onions, and small lime halves. No need to choose the salad as a side if dining in as it's all available on the salsa bar, choose beans, traditional red rice, or refrieds instead. Plastic ware so BYOUtensils to help the earth;) we carry ours in the car. Fresh flour tortillas are killer and wished I would of grabbed some extra ones $3.25/doz at counter to take home.Lots of laminate booths to side of counter to dine in which we did. Thanks Pollo Nuevo, my belly got its chick fill today :D

Tasty chicken! A nice variety on the menu- meals, tacos, salads and bowls and more. I had a bowl, with chicken breast pieces. It was delicious and even healthy. Formerly Pollo Feliz, this place is now called Chicken Nuevo. The food is still good. The employees are friendly and helpful. There's plenty of seating too. Definitely recommend.

This place used to be great! They ran a Wednesday special where you'd buy the combo on Wednesday and they'd give you half a chicken. Last time I ordered the combo they without asking changed all the 'sides' to large when I only ordered the regular combo. Out of principle I can't eat there any longer. I guess they also subsidize their operation as a front for stolen goods. I go here a lot for the chicken tostada salad , it fills me up it's a nice size salad . And at this location the ppl are nice at least so that's good . I will continue to be a customer

I can't believe I did not take a picture of my juicy tasty chicken breast, wing, huge side salad with tomato, cucumber red onion and authentic tasty Mexican rice. The delicious aroma and the sight of the open flame char chicken was my undoing. This hole-in the wall restaurant has the best char chicken I've had in a long time. Ordered and pay at the counter and a staff member will bring your food to your table.

I used to love this place, when they served great chicken and sides. No more! We got a wrong order, tacos completely burned, and the tomato still had a sticker on- do you even wash your produce? They should be ashamed to sell this food. Makes me sad.

The steak burritos are super delicious here! It's definitely a must try. I think the only thing I didn't like was that the guac and sour cream were on one side of the burrito while the rice and beans were in the other side I wish the food was more mixed up inside the burrito but overall it tastes delicious.

I ordered catering from Pollo Feliz for a party, and my guests were impressed with the quality of the chicken. It was moist and juicy, and the sides were equally delicious. One thing that sets Pollo Feliz apart from other chicken places is the macaroni salad - I would say it's the staple of the whole meal. I picked up my order from the drive-thru, but the ambiance seemed decent. The service was fast and professional.

I've been going there with my family for years. Seriously the best beans, chicken, and rice. It's not always about the ambiance, it's local and a Tucson classic. Can't wait to go back after the remodel.

Sad but I don't go here anymore because there is a service charge to use a credit card now and at times they don't even accept a card because the machine is down. Too much effort and frustration for fast food.
