Pointe of Grace offered a great Groupon over the holidays for a month long Zumba pass and by the looks of it, I'm not the only one who thought so.I've been to a few classes thus far and I have to say that Kim is a fun instructor that keeps me entertained and sweating. The dances are fun and there's a wide range of people there. On occasion, Kim seems to lose track of where in the dance we are and give the wrong instruction. But, she is able to correct herself quickly. And I must admit that if I had to memorize that much choreography, I'd probably forget as well. The Zumba schedule is kind of limiting and I really wish they would offer more classes on the weekends, when I actually have time to go.

I really struggled with 3 or 4 stars and opted to go up, but it's really about a 3.5.Pros:The biggest pro is the price. We do a 30-minute "tiny ballet" class for our 4-year-old twins. The class meets weekly and only costs $25 for the entire MONTH (per child). That's a heck of a deal!I like the location - it's conveniently located on the NW side of town and easy to find.Unfortunately, that's really the extent of the "pros."Cons:This place is totally no-frills. There's not enough seats for the multiple classes going on so it's basically standing-room-only in-between classes (generally while classes are in session it's not as bad, its just the in-between part that gets uber-crowded). Also, our class is the earliest of the afternoon (4:30pm) and the teacher routinely arrives at about 4:25pm. That doesn't leave any time for changing kids into leotards and using potty, etc. We end up changing our kids' clothes in the car (we come straight from their preschool, not from home, so we can't change them ahead of time). It's also created potty issues since there's not enough time to use potty before class. Once the teacher even came out and berated the parents for not having our kids go to the bathroom before class because several kids that day had interrupted class to go to the restroom. Wouldn't happen if you opened more than 5 minutes in advance so the kids have a chance to go before-hand! Relatedly, it definitely causes a "pile-up" that there's only a single bathroom. Again - wouldn't be that big of an issue if the place were opened up earlier so everyone had ample time before class.I'm also not a huge fan of the set-up of the studios and waiting area. There's basically 2 seats where you can actually see your kids dancing. The rest of the seats are out-of-view of the studio so, while they're practicing, you can't even really watch.Last, I'm not a huge fan of our teacher. As already mentioned, there was the one-time public lecture on the bathroom (which I fully blame on her - their website says the place opens at 4...she's not there 'till 4:25). But she's also just been generally snippy and rude at times. Sometimes feels like she feels inconvenienced to be there - like she doesn't like it and doesn't want to do it. But I kind of let it slide because my kids say they like her and she's nice during the dance lessons, so maybe it's just a personality difference thing.Overall, based on price alone I would recommend the place. My kids do seem to be picking up on some basic dance techniques and they love their weekly class. But if you're expecting a fancy place or comforts such as seating for everyone and the ability to actually see your child dancing....not so much. It serves our purposes for now so we'll keep going.

Our family loves Pointe of Grace! They offer dance classes for my girls, adult dance classes as well as fitness classes. The classes are fabulous, the teachers are the best around and their pricing is fair and competitive! We're so happy to have found our dance home at Pointe of Grace!

We love Pointe of Grace. Have been there for about 7 years. It's like a second home and we love our dance family. I have had both if my daughters and 1 son dance there, I also have had 4 of my nieces and 2 of my nephews dance there. It is a relaxed atmosphere so if you are looking for a competitive studio this is not the right fit for you.
