Okay, this is my second review. First review was great. We thought we had found a place to dine near our house that we liked. And was delighted with everything. After dining here numerous times, our last visit was terrible. We had a reservation. We waited 30 minutes and no server approached us. I flagged the hostess. She was apologetic and went to find out who was to be attending our table. Ten (10) more minutes passed...we decided to leave. As we were leaving a young male server asked us if we had been helped. I hastily said "No, we are leaving. We have been waiting at our table for 40 minutes without any acknowledgement". He mumbled something. But at that point I didn't care. I had to say something here as I noticed numerous similar service reviews in YELP. Perhaps the management will take notice of the reviews and make some changes in staff. I too was a waiter once in a busy restaurant so I understand the hectic pace of it. But what I found totally unacceptable was not even an acknowledgment from any server such as "thank you for your patience I'll be right with you". That's basic common sense. Management: PLEASE do something about training your staff about basic server etiquette. That would go a long way.

I will say this use to be in my opinion one of the better Italian places in Tucson. It has not been that great the past several time I have been. Went there this evening and my chicken parm came out burnt. I sent it back, they scraped the cheese off it and brought me the same piece I had cut into with fresh cheese on it. Ok, fair enough tasted ok, at least it wasn't burnt. The single time our rather short mannered waiter came by for our only drink order of the evening he did not even take everyone at the tables drink order. Then our desert came out with a piece of lettuce in it. All in all this restaurant has been on a downhill slide for a while. This is now the last location. Would really like to see them turn it around.

Just want to thank the management and staff for resolving an unfortunate mixup in such a wonderful way. Our pickup order was not fulfilled. When I called, the manager and server handled it with grace and expedited a solution-even delivering the missing orders to our home. Mistakes happen, it's how one handles them that really matters. We will whole-heartedly recommend Piazza Gavi to all-for service and extraordinary quality and taste.

We had a great date night! The food we had was delicious, but the service was even better. Our waiter Eric was amazing and at one point a person who I suspect was at least a manager asked us if we were warm (we were sitting outside) and she moved a heater closer to us. We've been here before and will continue to go many more times even though it's a 30 minute drive for us because of the great service and delicious food!

I use to love this place. It's been years since I was here and I wanted for my birthday to go here. We drive an hour just to get here. We arrived (without a reservation...yeah I know) and the hostess asked us if we had reservations and My Wife said "no we thought about it. ". The host said to my wife and I "of course you didn't.". Nice! We proceeded to stay, even though we were given attitude. They sat us on the patio which was nice and pretty. They also made a fuss even though I counted about 8 open tables enough for the 4 of us. We ordered our food, which was actually really good, but when the waiter brought the plates to the table, he slammed the plates down and then proceeded to go to the people next to us and talk to them. We use to love this place. The food is good but service was bad from the waiter and hostess. The 2 stars is because the food, ice cream (which they gave us for free), the ambiance and the AMAZING manger that came around and waited on us towards the end of our visit and refilled our waters too. She's great! Wish they all were.

The food is my favorite Italian food EVER. The service is terrible. We had the chopped salad to start. It was SOOOO GOOD and enough to easily feed 4- maybe 6. Selected the house Pinot noir- loved it. The wine and food menus are huge.Then we had spaghetti bolognese and oooh so great and so hot! Again- enough for a few people. We saw the server after waiting at least 10 min then when the food was delivered and that was it. We agreed that we'd not return if the food was not so outstanding. The other negative is - it's so loud. We may ask for patio seating when we return as it seemed quieter there.

Had dinner with a couple of friends. The setting is nice but inside is a bit noisy, especially during happy hour. However, that said, the menu is huge with many choices as well as the specials which on the night we went included varieties of ravioli. I opted for the lobster ravioli that came in a lemon cream sauce that was delicious. It was a large portion as were the portions of my friends, We all ended up with food to take home for another mealThe service throughout the meal was excellent. Our take home phone was prepared by the waiter in a styrofoam container wrapped in plastic wrap which was nice to protect it from spilling. I really enjoyed my meal and look forward to having it again for lunch tomorrow.

Went with some friends here about 4pm on a Friday. I have been here multiple times, lunch and dinner, and the experience is always similar. The food is always top notch. It is first class Italian food. The dinner portions are large and most of the party took half of their meals home.This night, I ordered the Chicken Cacciatore. The vegetables were cut large enough so they didn't disappear. The chicken was chunked white meat moist enough and not dry like white meat can get. The sauce was not too spicy but enough spice to not be bland. It came with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. The marinara sauce seemed kinda bland and bites of the cacciatore sauce. I am sure it would have been good standing on its own.Because we went early, it was not too crowded but was getting busy about the time we were leaving.The decor gave an Italian feel instead of generic restaurant so many ethic food places have transitioned to. There is a large bar if you are into that kinda thing.Note as is usual, there is a automatic gratuity if you party is over a certain size (not sure what it was but we had about 11). It was a bit confusing as I did not see it would be added on the menu but I was not specifically looking for it. Also, the bill was a bit confusing because it listed it as service charge, not gratuity. Further down on the ticket it alluded to gratuity though. It should have specifically said "Group Gratuity" instead of "Service Charge".I love it here, so I will definitely be back. You should try them out.

Food is consistently good. Atmosphere busy but under control. Good waitstaff.Apps are small, entrees generous. Been going since you moved from across the street, must be 20+:years. Hey it's not Yountville but neither are the prices. Bon Appétit
