Hands down, fantastic! This has become our top choice for pizza. That being said the yummy doesn't stop there. The burrata and tomato is such a delight for the taste buds. Bread with friends is heavenly.Try the Ray Rays, locally made spiked tea. Soo good!If you are dare, the desserts are out of this world and yes they will even make you a yummy drink to compliment it.Run, don't walk. You won't be disappointed. The staff is welcoming, warm, friendly and always willing to give suggestions for ways to level up your pie.Full disclosure...we haven't had the lasagne, but it looks beyond amazing!

This was a great experience. As soon as I walked in someone was ready to seat me. They dropped off the menu and took my drink order. I ultimately ordered Nina pizza. It was likely the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was perfect thin but not too thin with a slight char. The toppings worked so well together. It was too big for just me, so I got to take some home for lunch tomorrow. For dessert I got a Crème fraiche panna cota. It was soooo good. It was not too sweet and wonderfully smooth. The fruit was a perfect compliment. It is kinda a bar setup. It has a three TVs. There was music playing, but not too loud. You would still be able to hold a conversation without yelling. But the best thing was service. The work in as a team. I had at least four different people come by. They were not just asking inane questions, actively helpful, filling drinks, bringing food, etc.More only regret is waiting this long to try it out. I will be back, the pizza and service is just too good.

Yahoo! I am thrilled that this spot has found a new home on the east side. The addition of some delicious wood-fired pizza to our neighborhood is exciting. Their remodeled space is beautiful and open, with lots of plants and a view of the oven with pies being thrown in. Their staff is not just friendly, but also incredibly efficient. Their unique serving model, where everyone caters to your needs, has proven to be seamless during our two visits. We have tried the meatballs, very good. Caesar salad is tasty! We shared the meatball lasagna, a special I hope they make permanent, with the table as an appetizer. Very tasty. Then the stars, in my opinion, are the pies! My current favorite is the Tony Bologna, my partner loves the Figgy Piggy. And you can't go wrong with the classic pepperoni. The crust is light, crisp, and chewy. We've taken a pie to go before, and in my opinion, this style of pizza is so much better fresh out of the oven.

I brought my mom here after hearing rave reviews and we really enjoyed it! We went around 5:30 on a weeknight and didn't have a wait, but a few parties that trickled in after us did have a short wait. The space is very open and has some plants/cool decor, great vibes for a date or family meal! The service was amazing and very attentive. We got the Burrata & Tomato appetizer that was very yummy - especially the pistachio pesto. For pizza, we got the Sgt Pepper and it was delicious - great toppings and the crust was perfect! We weren't sure about dessert but our waitress highly recommended the Nougatine Semifreddo and we are forever grateful - one of our favorite desserts we've had (great amount of creaminess and love the cherries, pistachios, etc)! We will definitely be back and would order everything again (but will also explore the menu)!

We've been wanting to try this place, so did a girls night to celebrate my birthday. It's a small place, but held our group of 10 just fine. It is a busy place! The wait staff was on point, comical and knowledgeable. The food was freaking amazing! If you enjoy your Italian food, this place is a must!!!!

Loved it! First time at the new location - not sure why we waited so long to try. Top notch addition to the East Side. Lasagna was to die for! Pizza was on point. Beer selection was great.

We gave the new replacement for the former Firetruck pizza location on Kolb a try. It's been open for a few months now. It was a full house on a Friday night, a big change from Firetruck even though not much has changed with the new establishment. Same general menu concept, layout, kitchen. I was seated promptly, though it took a while for someone to finally ask if I wanted something to drink - a definite miss when it was 100F outside and I'd love a cold beer. We decided to split a Caesar salad and a Pizza and were advised portions were generous. This is where things went wrong. It took over 15 minutes to get that salad - evidently it went to the wrong table and I finally had to stop the server and ask what happened. The salad came out about 3 or 4 minutes later and as I feared, so did our pizza. Big miss, especially with the tiny table. With that said, both the salad and the pizza had a beautiful presentation and were delicious. The pizza was a "Sgt. Pepper" and had homemade sausage, Anaheim chiles and pepper honey. This was an interesting combination and despite the sound of it, was particularly spicy, but had chile flavor and the honey made for a great sweet-savory contrast bite by bite. I'd definitely order that again. The dessert menu was a bit of a sticker shock, but at the bottom was an offer for scoops of "House made Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream". I am an aficionado of all things butterfat, but most homemade ice cream is usually a big let down in taste, texture, or mouthfeel and I was prepared for another failure. NOT SO! This was the hit and a bargain for $5. It was not ice milk. It was a proper custard-based ice cream frozen to perfection with no ice crystals and just the right balance between density and loft. Kudos! The flavor was all there = Vanilla forward and the richness of the eggs in the custard base complemented it. What a bargain for two beautiful and generous scoops. Best part: there was a butterfat film on my spoon, the sign of a real cream-based dessert not full of gelatins, gums and other additives.Penelope's is a great value for money in fine dining. It's not a tavern and pizza joint. Our bill for the salad, pizza and two ice creams, plus a beer and a tea was $57 with tax, minus tip. We both had an ample meal and even had dessert. Now I see why they're busy. It's difficult to go anywhere nowadays for that price and receive a quality meal. I'll be back.

Great date night at Penelope. The food and service don't disappoint! I highly recommend this cute little restaurant. We love the friendly vibe without being so loud you can't talk and hang out with friends and family. This was our date night and I highly recommend this yummy friendly atmosphere

I ate here on Friday for a birthday party. The service was pretty slow and we had to flag the servers down multiple times for all moments of our time here: to order drinks, to order food, and to pay. That being said, it was a busy night and we were a large party. My drink (clear negroni) and the wood-fire pizzas were really good! I was able to try several pizza's: Figgy Piggy (my favorite), OTC, and Pammy. I also love the vibe of the place with all the plants. I will be back to give this place another try maybe for date night. I love that there's a cute date spot on the east side!

Great new pizza place in town. Was previously the location of Firetruck pizza and a few others. Recommended!5* = A top favorite. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime.4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient or the only option. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = Stay away at all costs!
