Papa Locos Tacos and Burgers

Great food. Great burgers, burritos and friendly service. What could be better. I have been there several times and NEVER disappointed!!!

This place is simply amazing. I used to think from the outside and name that the food was garbage. But once I tried it. Omg. This place is delicious. Their burritos, they're real chili, their Sonora dogs all delicious. They are definitely a must try place if you want some good fast Mexican food. We go here every couple weeks and enjoy it every time. I would recommend this to anyone that wants some decent Mexican food. Hands down the best tasting Mexican food in the Rita ranch vail area that's for sure.

Impressive stop running errands came across this off the beaten Houghton stretch, yet still so close, next to a Chevron gas station's mini mart, thanks Yelpers! Don't be put off pulling up, it's a really nice setup inside, after you go through the mini mart the taco shop is off to the side. Noticed the other direct entrance from the patio side by the courtyard patio once inside haha.Excellent carnitas Burrito Mucho $9.75 with rice beans, plenty of pork and great flavor. Bonus comes with a few chips on a ceramic plate with real cutlery at this small taco shop, with several tables in and umbrellas, metal seating/tables in a side courtyard with trees and you almost don't notice you're at a gas stop haha! Order at counter and cashier/runner delivers. Hot, green, mixed red salsa so fresh, got mixed and green and was given 4 large solo cups, very generous.Breakfast all day, Handmade Angus Burgers, grilled fish tacos, fill er up next time Papa!

The service is still spotty. But I really like their red sauce and cheese enchilada. And the echilocos. Though, sometimes the rice isn't cooked all the way. That's a big disappointment.

Their food is consistently OK and I do love their red enchilada sauce. I've ordered a side of guacamole before today and it was a decent sized portion for $2.00. Today, it was the size of a salsa cup. When I called to ask about the guacamole and size of the portion, he remarked that, "We're training new cooks and they don't know." "The owners are expanding and I don't control the prices."The good news is that I won't be as lazy about my Mexican food and drive an extra mile for some excellent food vs a convenient, mediocre experience.

Very disappointed. Been coming here for years. Buy food for work events regularly. This time the ground beef patty tacos were not good. Over cooked patties were hard , thin and dry. The "white" menudo was red and we were told they put too much spice in but it is white. Picture attached.

We found this place close to vail. It's a little hidden. They have good Sonoran hot dogs and a variety of Mexican dishes and the have breakfast burritos. I've tried them all. The burritos are huge! They are good. The hotdogs are good as well. I've tried a variety of different food there and it's good.

Online ordered our food 30 minutes ahead of time. Was only a fish taco and combo plate. Arrived and was still not ready. Was an additional 10 minutes and order wasent even started. There was a lady there also waiting for an online order. The staff needs to get that worked out. People call ahead and they order online so they do not have to wait.

I just wanted a taco.. apparently you can only get them on Tuesday.... also don't send flyers to people house and then have not have that stuff on the menu... heading home starving..

Above all, Mexican food should be served hot. My chicken enchilada plate came out barely warm with room temperature refried beans. Ambiance was truckstop chic. It's in a convenience store. I could overlook that if the food was hot. Service, however, was excellent. The woman at the order counter was terrific. She is the reason I gave them two stars despite the poor Mexican food. But I won't be back.
