Wow... the portions are more than enough. The meat was tender and not dry at all. The veggies were fresh We ordered via Doordash., which was very quick.

Excellent Greek restaurant on the old 4th street district! We were looking for healthy salad place and this one caught our eye and it did not disappoint! Before we even ordered, the server brought a plate of pita breads, yogurt and hummus spread with sliced cucumbers. Then we ordered grilled octopus (appetizer), Horiatiki salad (aka quintessential Greek salad), and combo platter (gyro and beef). The portions are HUGE! The appetizer is the size of an entree and the octopus is very tender and flavorful (cooked in wine and herb). I also love my Greek salad as it strikes a great balance of refreshing and flavorful (from sweet onions and feta cheese). I just wish they could add olive oil not the salad though. All the servers are very tentative. Restaurant has many Greek paintings and statues as decorations. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes Mediterranean food!

We decided to go here after taking Mom to the Zoo. It just felt like a "Greek food" kind'a day.We arrived around 11:45. The parking lot was fairly busy with Multiple businesses in the small area. I did not see any handy caped parking, so we parked as close as we could. There are No handy caped ramps that we saw out front at all either, so Dad had to carefully maneuver his walker up the curb. That dropped their score for us.When we walked in, the little restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated immediately. It's a nice little place that looks to have added an extra dining area recently, which they needed. There are large prints of what looks like a Greek Village on the wall and good walkways around a good seating area. There's a small bar as well. The young lady who was our server took our drink order right away. The young man who greeted us brought a pita bread, cucumber, tzatziki, and I think it was tahini sauce, though the texture was odd, for appetizer. It was very tasty! We got Mom a classic gyro with fries. She ate a bit more than half of the gyro filling and a few fries, which is good for her. This says she liked it.Dad got a Spicy Grilled Chicken Wrap with fries. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal and repeatedly praised the chicken and the sauce. He has found a new Greek favorite.I got the gyro platter. The meat had a decent flavor, though it was quite oily. The rice was spiced and cooked well. The salad was fresh and crisp. I also ordered a side of falafel, which was Very good. The server was very busy but did not hesitate to bring whatever we needed, and even accurately anticipated a few things. (Sign of a very good, attentive server!) I would say this is another place we will be visiting often. My Dad was very impressed.

This Opa experience was not the best. I planned to pick up dinner on my way home as I'd been out all day and no one was home cooking, lol. I had a hard time placing my order online, so ended up calling in my order. The hub and I were splitting two meals: pastitsio and a gyro sandwich with fries. When I arrived at Opa, my order couldn't be found. A little frustrated, I was glad they found my order in just a couple of minutes; it had been filed under a wrong name. That happens, so not a big deal. I took my packages home to a hungry hub. The food smelled delicious and there was a lot of it.I didn't realize that the mezo platter of hummus, tzatziki, and pita wasn't included. It's such a light nice start, but apparently not for takeout. The gyro plate was huge. We divided it and was still a lot of food. The gyro meat was delicious as always and was accompanied by fries, tomato, onions, and sauce. The pastitsio wasn't as successful. We found it to be really bland and boring. The meat needed seasoning and the pasta was overcooked and mushy. The pastitsio came with pita, rice, and a beautiful side salad of romaine, cucumbers, feta, tomatoes, and onion. The salad was my lunch the next day, with the gyro meat I couldn't finish from the night before. I would say that lunch was the best part of the meal. I won't ding them for the fries. The flavor was good, but they were cold by the time they were on the dinner table. Fries don't travel or reheat well; I should have ordered a different side. The food came to a little over $30.

Food lately at Opa's has been subpar, with the Classic Gyros Sandwich not up to their previous usual standards. Our gyros meat had pieces overcooked, dry and lacking taste, and Falafel here is terrible (do not recommend, yuk).... the worst in Tucson, plus they forgot to include the sauces (tzatziki or garlic sauce). Additional, we do not like their hummus... need to rework and improve their recipe. Service is erratic.... was not sure who was our server. We are usually regular diners at this establishment (for dine-in and/or pick-up), but may have to give them a rest for a while due to our disappointment the past few times frequenting this establishment.

This restaurant and the gyro platter has been on my mind every day. It has left me with such an impression. My friend recommended this place while I was in town and I was blown away by the authenticity and flavors of the menu! The platter had a variety of items- pita bread, hummus, Greek salad, beef slices, and Tzatziki sauce. I finished the whole meal- I definitely could eat it all day, every day. The staff were friendly & attentive. I wish I had a place as good as this back home!

Opa's Best Greek is probably truly the best Greek place in town now (a lot of the Greek restaurants from the past have closed). The food was great, from the meze, apps, entrees, and dessert. Highly recommend the octopus appetizer as it was meaty and refreshing altogether. For entrees, I really like that they had low carb options, though even the regular entrees do come with greens and veg too. The lamb here is delicious and cooked just right, whether souvlaki form or the chops. Definitely have to come back to try the shank next time too. I tried the Zoe Red (Peloponnese Greek wine) which was really good. For Greek desserts, I love loukoumades, however, Opa's didn't have them. But for what it's worth, Opa's galaktoboureko (honey custard) was delightful--just the perfect thing to end the meal. Opa's is an awesome Greek restaurant with great food, service, and ambiance.
