What an array of turquoise and silver. Over whelming. I was captivated by the Horsehair pottery and bought a very interesting piece. Great customer service.

This is a can't miss stop when you visit to Tubac. These are the best prices on jewelry, you will find anywhere. The gentleman who runs the store is also a master at sizing and fixing jewelry that you purchase. So if one of your past purchases comes loose just bring it by or mail it in. The prices just cannot be beat and the selection is amazing. With Pawn and one-of-a-kind pieces never to be seen anywhere else, you cannot miss this gem in Tubac.

It has been over 10 years since my last trip to Tubac, but this magical little desert town still stands out as a favorite place in my memory. A few days ago, I was shopping online and found Old Presidio Traders, located in Tubac. This store has been around nearly forty years and has a web site with a great selection of Native American art and jewelry. I found a sterling silver hummingbird pendant by one of my favorite Navajo artists, Alvin Thompson. I had seen this piece years ago and had not bought it, so I jumped at the chance and made the purchase. The item arrived just two days later packaged beautifully with a biography of Thompson included and a complimentary kokopelli ink pen as well. I hope to visit this store in person in the future. In the meantime, I will continue to buy from this unique small business and recommend that others do as well.

This is an eclectic store with all kinds of oddities. It's a little more affordable than some of the other shops in the area and it has significantly more options. The wind chimes in the front are amazing...unless you don't like wind chimes. it's a little bit off the main shopping complex, but it's a short walk. Everyone is really chill in the store and they are not uptight about trying things on.

I researched online where to have a very poor condition, turquoise squash blossom necklace repaired and found Old Presidio Traders. I emailed photos to the owner, Gary, and was told they could fix it, no problem. I had never heard of Tubac, AZ but figured a road trip sounded fun, threw my necklace in the car and hit the road from Los Angeles. I can't tell you how happy I am that I did. OPT did an excellent job repairing the necklace, straightening all the crushed blossoms, adding missing beads to match the existing and gave me back a completely transformed and stunning piece of jewelry at a super reasonable price. In addition I had the time of my life shopping in the store and in all the turquoise jewelry stores in Tubac, which are amazing. OPT has a wonderful selection of vintage native American jewelry, old pawn and Fred Harvey era plus belts, buckles, hat bands and pins. My favorite though was the new jewelry they had from native American silver smith Lillie Ashley, each item a work of art and I bought several pieces of her work. You must visit Tubac and if you do, you will find OPT has the best variety and the best prices. Thank you for everything!Melissa M.

I'm a snowbird who DREAMS about the Old Presidio Traders when I'm not here! This store is filled with wonderful t-shirts; socks; magnets; jewelry...you name it and it can be found here! They have some of the BEST ideas for gifts and the prices are fantastic!! This store is THE place to go for everything!!

Originally, I received a very rude response from the owner when I questioned the quality of some recent purchases, after spending a lot of money in the store. I had checked two pieces with a renowned craftsman, who purchases premium quality stones and designs jewelry who begged to differ on one item and informed me another was very poorly crafted. I also bought a bracelet which broke two days later and had it fixed out of town. Later, the clerk who helped me contacted me. I was able to return two questionable pieces of jewelry for a full refund and get my bracelet latch fixed. Overall, fine with the end result.
