I am not sure about the physician's work here but the office staff communication is subpar. That is really a shame if doctors are great but their office does not get back to patients timely, communicate updates or even answer the phone. I spent 17 minutes on hold just to speak to a human only for their phone system to disconnect. Called back to the same thing. Such a shame that office staff can tarnish the reputation of good physician practices. Will probably begin to look elsewhere.Looks like this is not the first time there have been issues with office staff....just read older review..

What a wonderful neurosurgery practice we have here in Tucson! We're blessed. Dr. Putty performed a lumbar minimally invasive discectomy on me and I'm feeling better already. Everyone from the front office staff, to Dr. Putty's nurse practitioner, Kasey, to the schedulers are all professional grade people. Thank you all so much!

This is the best neurosurgery practice in Tucson. Dr. Scully has performed two fusions on me; one on the cervical spine, and one on the lumbar. Both saved me from a life of pain. I cannot stress how talented, knowledgable, and caring all of the doctors and staff are in this office. I wouldn't trust any other doctor in town with such major surgery.

I called for an appointment in November 2017 and was abruptly told I could not get an appointment with Dr. Scully until I has a recent MRI. I had that done in December and immediately called to schedule an appointment. The earliest I could get in was February 27,2018 @ 11:30. I arrived at 11:05 and stood in front of the registration for a full 10 minutes with no recognition from the people in that office. When I finally got to the desk the agent asked for my paper work. I asked what paperwork. It appears there was supposed to be some sent to me. I did not receive anything. She took my insurance cards and ID. I sat down to fill in the ream of paperwork and a few minutes later I was called to the desk again and told they had my appointment at 11:00 so the doctor would not see me. I was definitely told 11:30. She asked if I had gotten a reminder call for the appointment. I did not. Had I , I would have been there at 10:30 rather than 11:05. No apology. Uncaring, unprofessional, rude office staff.

I am so grateful that Dr. Scully was recommended to me and that I followed through with his recommended surgery. For months I was in pain 24-7 with horrible sciatic pain that was shooting all the way down to my foot. Dr. Scully assured me that he had performed this surgery many times and that I would be OK. His sincere demeanor made me confident. I had this surgery three weeks ago and the pain is completely gone and I feel like I have a new lease on life and I am feeling very optimistic about living the way I was before the setback this pain was causing me. Thank you so much Dr. Scully! I don't believe it is a God complex (as I had seen in a review) that Dr. Scully has as much as it is his God-given talent to heal! The entire staff is just wonderful.

Just like Kathy and Maria .. the front desk says they will mail you paperwork and they never do. I showed up for my appointment after I confirmed the day before and talked to the front desk 4 hours before my appointment...they cancelled my appointment. I waited 4 weeks in pain to be told.."so sorry"...They are uncaring and unprofessional. There are plenty of others to use in Tucson...help put them out of business by not referring or giving them business.

We have been seeing Dr. Sarah Sullivan for about 3 years. We would be extremely frustrated without her, Will Holder (PA-C) and their staff. Our PCP at the time started my wife off on physical therapy. After about a year of that and no discernible progress, we were told to see a neurologist and Dr. Sullivan came highly recommended so we chose her, and by extension the staff at NWNS. We have been very pleased with her but remain frustrated with the underlying cause(s) of my wife's condition(s). This has been a learning experience for all of us. What we thought was non-progressive, is. We have ruled out ALS, Alzheimers, Parkinson's, Stroke and a host of other things.Along the way, we discovered she had Central Vestibular Disorder, Neuropathy but nothing explained the whole situation. Dr. Sullivan has and continues to be fully involved, as is her staff, with discovering the rare set of debilitating conditions that we live with. Obvious causes have been ruled out, we explore the rare ones. We cannot recommend Dr. Sullivan and Mr. Will Holder, her PA-C, highly enough. We may not find a cure in my wife's case but we will know that we fought a good fight and brought in others for second opinions as needed to good effect. As for another review disagreeing with our experiences with the staff, Every practice has an occasional glitch or 20. We have fired two cardiologists in as many years for Really, Really bad performance of Doctor or staff. Dr. Sullivan is a keeper and ranks close to being a medical Sherlock Holmes in digging out the truth about conditions. Mine were easy to solve, My wife's conditions border on the unknowable yet she sheds more light with each visit.

I was recommended by my primary care doctor to see Dr Sullivan for my concerns. Doctor saw me gave several referrals for testing but did not address any of my concerns nor read my records on previous surgeries. Repeatedly Called after tests done n finally assistant tells me to continue what doctor advised. Told her that I did not get any advice then told to see doctors PA. Never going there again- seeing a real doctor now.

I was referred to Dr. Sullivan and "treated" for peripheral neuropathy in my legs and feet. The 1st visit went ok. She ordered a lot of tests, confirmed what I already knew and then she lost interest in helping me get relief. Prescriptions were never sent for insurance approval, the follow-up visit was with her PA. He was horrible. I had a MRI at Sullivan's request and made another appt with her. After waiting for 12 weeks for my appointment, I arrive at her office, only to be told they no longer take my insurance. Really? And you are telling me this now? Is there a way to take back my one star?
