I know ERs are busy and the staff work hard but it seems this one is mismanaged. I did something stupid by falling off a bike and hitting my face on the asphalt. I would not have gone to the ER but to find out if I broke or fractured any face bones. It took four hours. I had a CAT scan and then sat in one of the "Hall chairs" with others waiting. It took four hours to get the results. I, after three hours, asked to go home and wait there because I received absolutely no care at all. I brought ice from home but no one cleaned the wound or looked at it even though my whole side of my face around my eye was bruised, scraped and swollen. I got an irate medical assistant because I asked to go home. They wouldn't let me go home. I finally got someone to clean the wound after asking for it. I'm guessing they are understaffed. And the process appears to be mismanaged. I won't ever go back.

Please do not go here! They take advantage you. They sent me a bill for 607.00 and said my insurance did not pay. I called my insurance they said they paid 550.00 in January of 2024. I wait on hole for 3 hours to get a hold of someone. Then they were like well I need to speak to your husband. I was like no we signed a paper saying you talk to me about his medical. So then she said she sent it for a review. I said when do I get the results from the review? She said she did not know? But if they send us another bill to call back make sure my husband is on the line. BILLING FRAUD what I smell.

I had a 5.0 experience here Monday for a major surgery, but back now to ER, Thursday, for complications. Have been waiting in the full ER with about 10 ahead of me. Understaffed, slow going. My pain is significant. Vitals taken timely, but seems things progress slowly here. If you need emergency service, maybe head for Tucson.Update, 5 hours there. Once I got in, the peeps were great and quick. Sent home after blood work, ultrasound, other labs turned out ok. These are genuinely good medical staff I trust my life with, and I thank them all. Wish I could remember all the caring hands that helped me, but here's a few: PA Dr. Draper, Discharge Nurse Amanda, Blood Kenneth (Dig his Fireman red pants), X-ray Jorge, and dang it name not recalled for Ultrasound. It was an exceptionally busy night at the hospital. Some were getting care in the hallways. F/U paperwork clear to understand. I think they would benefit from an Urgent Care Clinic as it seemed some of those waiting were in that category.

I went in due to an extremely painful scorpion bite. I was treated poorly. I don't recommend this facility. The doctor was rude and insensitive. I left untreated due to his extremely offensive behavior. I will go to Tucson if I need help in the future.

I just returned home to Green Valley from Montana, where we went for vacation. The past two weeks of it were spent dealing with our truck which broke down, leaving us in the position of having to rent a truck to get home. We will have to fly back or rent to go get it, also. At home, I had two bills from this hospital, both received within two weeks of each other. The bills were regarding a visit in April, and I assumed the delay in getting a bill was because they were still getting insurance squared away. However, they were both marked Final Notice (??) and when I went to online bill pay to take care of it, my bill was not found. I tried phone bill pay with the same result. I eventually was able to reach a human and was informed my bill had been sent to collection!!!! I JUST RECEIVED THE FIRST BILL IN JULY, WHILE IN MONTANA! And the service was in April! Of THIS YEAR. This is unprecedented, for me. Prohibitive practices like this, lining the pockets of collection agencies, IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS! Not to mention, three days into my five day stay in April, I found out they were feeding me gluten! I wonder why my stomach issues didn't resolve while I was in the hospital... And, the doctor on call was too busy with his easter dinner to even see me until my second day after admittance in hospital...

Oro Valley hospital is an over priced under give a fuck urgent care. Watched a guy with a broken shoulder and fractured wrist sit with no pain meds not even Tylenol and get told to take ibuprofen when he got home. Watched a guy puke for almost an hour with no staff checking in him. Watched a guy get told he was a lier by a nurse. She was going to give him antibiotics but no one ever put an IV in and she made him roll up his sleeves because she didn't believe him Told me I need an ultrasound and MRI but wouldn't do it because I wasn't having a heart attack or stroke.

Could not decide which one of the three negative comment sites for NW Medical on Yelp to use. What a shame for community hospital to have such a lousy record. This was our 2nd visit and last, unprofessional, slow, wait wait. Sick people jammed in the waiting room for hours before any help if at all. Be sure to ask to go to Tucson or drive yourself. Your life may depend on it.

Fortunate to arrive at ER early morning and was seen quickly. Staff, nurses, and doctor were efficient, knowledgeable, and caring. I had pinched nerve with excruciating pain for 3 days which thank God they were able to treat, plus prescribe followup medication. I spent quite a bit of time afterwards in ER waiting for my ride which became much busier - wait times didn't appear long and staff remained respectful.

Strong advisement to not go here to the emergency room. My mother, in her 70's was nauseous and vomiting due to a severe acute on chronic attack of sciatic pain. She never goes to the hospital and sees her primary care regularly, doesn't abuse the system, and is otherwise extremely active and healthy, was treated with disrespect and neglect. Her extreme 10/10 visible pain, elevated blood pressure, and tachycardia was all due to her pain level. The was given treatment in the ED and told she was being discharged after they couldn't offer anymore pain meds than what they gave her in the ED. What's not okay is she was discharged without an antiemetic or other option for pain control besides Percocet, which can cause nausea and probably isn't the best option for someone actively vomiting. Due to being discharged she was actively vomiting in the parking lot on the way out at 2am. Her 10/10 pain continued well into the following day and she went to another ED on my advisement where her nausea was treated. I tried to call case management- went to voicemail. I tried to call the house supervisor--went to voicemail. I left multiple messages and called at least 6 times the next day looking for answers. I never spoke to a case manager or supervisor as to the reason for which they would discharge a 70 year old woman without proper care and still having no pain management. She wasn't looking for a magic pill, nor seeking narcotics, but she was treated as such and told," this isn't a hotel". Now I understand that may be the answer to some folks who abuse the system, but in this case that was heartless, unsupportive, and out of line. Her nurse came to the room one last time and my mom asked why she was being treated so harshly and her pain was still 10/10. The nurse just said, I was just checking to see if you left, then the nurse left. We will never go back here, and the fact no one bothered to call me back just shows the lack of care, responsibility, and poor management at this facility.
