Nico's Taco Shop

I believe this is literally the only restaurant in Three Points and I couldn't be happier that it's here! Great prices, a steak, eggs, and cheese burrito is $8.42 and they are packed. Cover parking, clean restrooms, friendly staff, and the food is delicious.

Prices are reasonable and they have a decent menu of Mexican food options to include burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, etc. This is one of the very few restaurants in the Three Points area, so it is generally busy, but service is quick. They have covered/uncovered parking, indoor/outdoor seating options, and a drive-thru window.

I see its been another three years since I last reported on this restaurant. As I still get out to the far west side of Tucson, I like to stop here for either breakfast or lunch.You may be aware that recently, this place changed management. The former crew set up shop at the new Nico's Burrito Shop on Grant and now has a booming business there. This new crew, however, is doing well out here on west highway 86.When I go in the cashiers are always friendly and welcoming. The store has clean floors and tables, the lights are bright. They usually have these great cinnamon crisps available. All the napkins, plasticware, condiments and salsa are self-serve so you can just help yourself to what you need. The drinks are fresh and bubbly in the fountain drink machine. They do a steady drive-through and inside business. It's never really slow every time I'm there.They still had their Halloween decorations up. The best ever big bad wolf and skeleton were in the back eating burritos. You had to see it!I was most recently there this past Thursday, Nov 2, 2023 for some breakfast. I, again, got the machaca combo but sometimes I also like to get their chicken chimi as well. I thought that I had already had the best machaca in Tucson but I was wrong. The cook this day had it going on. He made, by far, an incredible machaca. It looks easy but let me tell you, this was amazing. The flavor of the eggs, meat, onion, peppers and tomatoes was more than I could ever hope to have. I still put some green salsa on top. The beans were just runny enough to be pure perfection. The rice was flavored just right. If we did machaca contests the way the rest of the country does chili or bbq cookoffs this would have won the grand prize for world machaca domination. I had never seen this cook here before but I hope he can stay forever. Is it really too much to ask?So why only four stars, you ask? Well, I ordered my combo to be without cheese but cheese was put on the beans and I had to scrape it off. No one's ever really perfect.Go check them out.

I ate here for the first time and was sick for 3 days afterwards. My buddy who was with me had the same thing, also sick. Won't be going back.

Horrible. Soaking wet tortillas. No effort even goes into their food. But their the only takeout in three points. Avoid this DUMP. I was able to meet a nice gal there.

Just spent 5 hours overnight in the emergency room with my son who got sick from eating your bean and cheese burrito yesterday afternoon. That was the only thing he had eaten the entire day. I'll leave it at that.

Exceptionally tasty food and reasonably priced! Service was fast. Food was hot and tables were clean. My husband got the chicken and beef burritos which were served with refried beans and rice and I got the two fish tacos combo with beans and rice. Both were amazing! $12.99 includes a drink!

Overall good experience and fast friendly service. You get what you expect to get from fast food Mexican. It's nice to have this location available and have been here many times for take out. Carne asada fry's are my go to here and you can't go wring with some green salsa. The indoor seating area is generally kept well and provides plenty of seating for the location.

I ate menudo here and I found gnats and hair in my food . When I tried to talk to the cook about it he shrugged his shoulders and walked away , terrible service . Terrible food

Combination plate was crap cheese enchilada was a joke cheese was cold. Tostada hot. Beans rice cold. Don't waste your time
