Nexus Occult Books and Oddities

A cool bookstore with an extensive collection of books on various esoteric, some mainstream and unique subjects to include but not limited to witchcraft, santeria, hinduism, and freemasonry. The store next door carries additional books, art and items for various practices. They currently have curated book sets for gifts on different topics ( chakras, astrology etc) reasonably priced which is fun to gift or self gift! I also learned the store next door has a classroom with various unique topic courses. Both stores support local authors and artists which is a huge plus. If you are not into any of the reading material but just need some incense or oils or sage- they have a selection available. Service was friendly and helpful. Located in a strip mall with ample parking and open till 8pm most days!

I absolutely love going here! The staff is incredibly attentive and always trying to help. Andrew, the owner, is sweet and always willing to help me find the right books. They have a wide range of spirituality related books and neat things. I was able to find a lot of books about Mexican spirituality here that has helped me build my collection. Pricing isn't bad either! One of my coworkers is into angelology and I found a great book for her and tarot deck. I've also attended their classes next door. I've done a couple of the workshops, including the intro to tarot with Jake. Jake is an amazing teacher and his class truly helped me with my tarot readings. I've invited friends to attend here before and I always recommend this spot to folks. I wish they had more weekday classes, but I understand that it's probably tough to schedule out.

"Welcoming" might not be the first word that comes to mind when you think of an occult bookstore, unless, of course, you're thinking of Nexus Occult Books and Oddities. As a person with eclectic reading tastes, I've been to my fair share of specialty bookstores, but I've never experienced the quality of customer service that I experienced during my visit to Nexus. These folks really know their stuff and are eager to help you find anything you're interested in, no matter what it is, or who you are. You could spend an entire afternoon poring through the stacks at Nexus and still not see it all. Whether you're just curious about numerology or faeries, or are a lifelong expert in the deepest depths of the occult arts, the inventory at Nexus will absolutely dazzle you. There are literally thousands of books in stock, from hard to find works by Aleister Crowley, to beginner's guides to topics like astrology. Non-occultists will be thrilled to know there's also tons of titles on things like the Salem Witch Trials, comparative mythology, and the odder corners of history.Nexus also has an extensive selection of tarot cards, art, and other ephemera, as well as a rare book selection behind lock and key that you'll want to check out. Andrew, the owner, and his colleagues will be delighted to guide you through it all. I found a bagful of books on my very first visit, many of which were already on my personal wishlist, and I can't wait to go back. Nexus sets a high standard for an occult bookshop. Drop on in and experience it for yourself!

For as long as I can remember, every time I've ever gone into a book store, I always went right to the sections about spiritualism, magic, astrology, just.. occult, and generally taboo subjects, and the sections were always disappointingly scarce. Even at the library, the chances of me ever finding a book in any of those places that I was looking for, or really just any chance of any sort of substantial variety... slim to none. Walking into Nexus it's like a wonderland of everything I've ever wanted in a book store. It makes me feel at home. It has all the books I've always wanted to see on shelves at a book store. I read a lot. And I don't like to buy things online, I like to hold the book before I buy it. I like to feel a books energy before I commit to adding it to my collection of literature. Nexus is kind of a dream come true.So needless to say.. I'm basically a VIP there. I go once a week, like it's part of my routine. If I don't go on Friday, my boyfriend is like "aren't you going to nexus today?" (Sometimes, I go on Saturdays). They know me by name, and vice versa. Anyway, they may as well make me their spokesperson. Wink wink Nexus!

If you are into supernatural, mystical, magical beliefs, practices, phenomena and anything else occult, you're going to love this locally owned spot! My husband heard about it from a coworker and we immediately knew we needed to visit as we both are fascinated with this stuff, and we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed in by Zack who helped us find interests we are into and even opened up the cabinets holding the rare oddities for a closer look. Fun fact, during one part of me trying to film one of those areas, my camera wouldn't work. Coincidence? I think not! We learned also this place is the only bookstore in town that carries a demonology section. Spooky and cool! They have a kids section as well where we found some Disney Nightmare Before Christmas series books and so many other cool kid books on supernatural things. We were able to meet the owner Andrew as well who was so nice and friendly. I love that so many books were able to be rescued and repurposed to be sold here. Prices are so fair on everything and there's even a $2 cart with a hefty selection of books and things. We had a nice haul of things and we are looking forward to returning for more. Definitely check this place out!

They have all kinds of unique things in here. The staff is super friendly both in the bookstore and the other shop. I enjoy every time I get to come in here.

What a lovely pair of stores first is the book store which has a few trinkets but it mostly a temple for the mind. Take the time to read the books and enjoy the atmosphere because you will never feel pressured to rush your visit here. The books are well priced and worth every penny. You'll find that the people on staff are friendly and informative. They may even show you their black mirrors!! I'll be back again soon with my friends

I've walked by, well, been by in my wheelchair quite a few times but normally on Monday or Tuesday when they're closed. I finally went on the right day and decided to stop and take a look. The store is awesome and amazing for its size and the people there are as cool as it gets. Talked mostly with Zach and unfortunately I didn't catch the other man's name, but both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This time around I only purchased a few crystals/stones that called to me and some insence that were made with intentions. I'll be getting more things over time, as a matter of fact they're holding a couple things for me for about a week. They have a huge selection of books on many different topics, beautiful crystals and stones, intention made insense, regular insence, and lots of other amazing stuff. If you have the chance, stop and check Nexus out, you won't regret it.Zach, you and your friend we're extremely awesome in how you helped me out, including helping me with the door. Love this store. The folks are friendly, funny, and know their product. They have books on everything you can't find in a traditional bookstore.
