New China Sushi Grill Buffet

Standard American Chinese buffet. Hibachi area was empty, no meat to cook. Fyi they will charge $5 per plate you can't eat. Decent priceFood was pretty standard.

I ordered fried rice. The simplest of meals. It was dry, tasteless and basically no vegetables. I ordered takeout and they likely just scooped from the buffet tray. I was asking for trouble when I came to a place with "Buffet" in the restaurants name.

I like Chinese buffets!! This one has a lot of good choices. I think someone is purposely sabotaging the ratings becuz the lower ratings don't make sense.

Not going to spend allot of time on this review. Ate here for the first time and what did my $16 get me? I tried a small sample of orange chicken, fried shrimp, chicken puffs, fried fish nuggets, mushrooms, fried rice, and fried egg plant. There were more items on the buffet, but nothing else looked appetizing. My money bought me no flavor and bad tasting Chinese Buffet food. The high light of the food choices was the fried fish nuggets. Avoid this place! Now where are the Tums.

Dirty filthy Chinese buffet, from the curb to the kitchen not maintained or cleaned. Restrooms are disgusting and smelly. Staff (owners) in a big hurry to collect payment in advance before you eat. Buffet dirty and not stocked at 5:30pm on a Friday evening. We definitely will not return!

Went to this buffet for lunch this past week. Had high hopes that it would be really good - not so much ! Hopes were dashed right away when we arrived ! Let's run down the specifics. When we arrived, they told me the cost, gave them a credit card - card disappear from sight ! Where's my card ? Went from front desk to server (charged) then to wrong table ! Had to go searching it out . . . Not a good start. Browsed the food - hmmmm - some looked good, some not so much, a lot smelled just plain bad ! Everything was very greasy - chicken dishes, vegetables, side dishes and other dishes (not sure what they were). Fried rice was very bland. Some dishes were barely edible - very disappointing ! Macaroons from the dessert table were not bad ! Prices would not be bad at $17/person, if food was good, but not paying anything for this ! Service was very poor also - had to ask for silverware, refills on drinks . . . Definitely, not recommending, or going back to this place !

Roaches in the establishment, when brought to the managers attention she refused to refund the money we spent & had no concern about the roach. Disgusting, never returning here again!!

If you are very selective (and don't necessarily get everything), you might put a good meal together. I chose the sweet and sour chicken as my main entree. The meat was nice white breast meat. That is important to me. The green beans and the broccoli were bright, fresh and tasty, not overcooked or old. The sauteed mushrooms and the fried zucchini were good, as were the thin noodles and the crab puff. The egg drop soup seemed like a standard egg drop soup to me. It was nice and hot. I tried one dish I have never tried at a restaurant before: boneless short ribs. They were meaty and not fatty or gristly. There were a few dishes that seemed risky to me (mostly in the seafood category) so I passed those by.It appears that the restaurant has addressed some of the complaints from previous reviewers. For example, someone wrote that there were no almond cookies, but there were plenty when I was there. Also, nothing smelled weird to me, and hot foods were hot. The main dining area seems a bit bright and cold, but I sat in a smaller side room, and it was more woody, cozy and quiet. I didn't watch the sports programs on the flat screen TV on the back wall.The service was unobtrusive. While I went up for dessert, they cleared away my first plate, and they must have noticed that I was at the buffet line again, because they didn't re-set the table. I was glad to see that.

YUK!!!!!!!! I generally avoid American "Chinese" (if you will) buffets....this WAS the worst of the worse. I knew better and won't be back ever again. I learned my lesson. There ARE BETTER QUALITY establishments in Tucson.

Dead bug in the food, then had to argue with the hostess to void the charge on the credit card. Never again.
