Today I finished Needles and Knots' introductory sewing course and must say I really enjoyed it and learned a lot! I came into this class pretty much knowing nothing (I had gotten my sewing machine a few months prior and took weeks to get it threaded. When I went to sew the thread bunched up and I gave up!). Shauna was patient with all of our questions and answered thoroughly. I loved the casual feel of the class, I didn't feel pressured to do things perfectly and overall the mood was relaxed. There were four other students in the class and we all laughed together and learned from one another. The classes were once a week for three weeks. We were provided with tools like scissors, pins, bobbins, etc (you can even borrow a sewing machine though it's best to bring your own so you can familiarize yourself with the machine you'll be using outside of class; fabric was not provided). Mondays are "drop in" days where anyone can come in and see - I'm looking forward to checking that out one day!Finished today's class with a beautiful apron that I am SO excited to use. Thanks again for the class, Shauna! Highly recommend this place to anyone learning how to sew or looking to improve their skills.

I called this number out of the blue for some help on my daughter's, Tucson symphony Cotillion gown. She was lovely and gave me sound advice. I would recommend her to anyone simply because of her positive and kinda attitude.

Wow, this place has been a literal life saver during this terrible Covid-19 pandemic. NAK masks fit perfectly toy and there are two types: a really covering mask with great customizable ear loops and a one-handed model for quick donning. NAK has tons of prints and patterns that rotate frequently and the masks are guaranteed, washable, etc. Ordering online or in-person is a breeze thanks to the awesome owner, Shauna, and her commitment to both quality and her friendly personality. Now or in the future I recommend you give them a try!

I have taken multiple classes here and I absolutely in love! This is such a positive, welcoming, and happy learning environment. There's no such thing as a bad question or any chance of being left behind. The classes are setup in such a way that you are gaining skill and knowledge about sewing rather than just sewing patterns. As a disabled student NAK has been so welcoming of not only me, but also my service dog. I never have to fear my dog being distracted from his job or struggling with access issues. NAK has been welcoming from day one one and my service dog absolutely loves NAK just as much as I do!Highly recommend signing up for a class! Once you start you won't want to stop!

Shauna Smith a professional with a lot of experience in pattern making and sewing having worked in the garment industry in NYC! I went to her 3 hour basic sewing class with 3 other students. Shauna was patient, organized very knowledgeable and gave great tips on using our sewing machines! Go to website for more information! Learned so much n completed a drawstring bag with appliqué for my sewing machine accessories! Had her make me a pattern for a yoga top that I love n can't find anywhere and gave me great fabric to practice in and an extra pattern to practice as well!
