Tucson, AZFirst thing you must know is that this place is extremely casual. You walk up to the counter to order your food but when you sit down, you have black tablecloths, real flatware and dishes. The napkins are paper. This place is in a strip mall next to a Fry's grocery store. The restaurant is small. Maybe 9 tables. The menu has many choices. From salads to sandwiches to the delicious pasta. I ordered the pomodora. Angel hair pasta with a medley of tomatoes, garlic and kalamata olives. My husband had the monster lasagna. They brought us garlic bread with cheese on it and a small taste of cold pasta salad. The bread was delicious. The pasta salad was ok. The base was creamy. The food came quickly. The lasagna was huge. It looked like a small pan of it was brought to our table. I think three people could have dined on it. The pomodora was great. Lots and lots of different varieties of tomatoes. Perhaps too many olives. But the flavor was divine. Yes, we both had leftovers. The two ladies working g the front t of the house were visible and kind. I would definitely go back here.

Large portions of mid-level food items. Went here for a work lunch as the reviews were high. My friend got a spaghetti and meatballs and I got a Philly cheesesteak. When the food was brought out we were impressed by the large portions! However when I took a bite of the cheesesteak, I was disappointed with how dry the meat was. In addition to the dryness it was bland, despite me adding peppers, mushrooms and cheese to it. My friend's spaghetti was good, but nothing special. The sauce kept sliding off the noodles and the noodles gave that yellow store bought box color. For the price, it's not worth it in my opinion.

Nate's Italian Kitchen is fast casual in that diners place their orders at the register and obtain their own beverages. Food is delivered to the table and, later, so are boxes, because the portions are gargantuan and everyone has leftovers. Three of us met for lunch at noon and the cozy little restaurant was humming. We did get the last table, but the kitchen was very efficient and table turnover was pretty good. The menu was full of interesting choices. I went with the chicken and eggplant parm. My friends ordered fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs. We returned to our table after ordering and complimentary appetizers arrived; garlic bread and chilled pasta. The garlic bread was phenomenal, crusty, super garlicky, and buttery. The ample serving disappeared quickly. Lunch arrived in just a few minutes. So much food!! The parm was crispy on the outside, covered in marinara and cheese, and accompanied by a bowl of spaghetti and sauce. I prefer a little zip in my food so found my meal a bit bland and underseasoned; my tastes lean to more salt, garlic, and perhaps pepper flakes. The fettuccine looked creamy and its owner declared it good. The spaghetti had three giant meatballs that were described as tender and delicious. Servers and cashier were efficient and accommodating, though it's a bit of a pain to refill drinks mid meal; prices are more fine dining than would be expected for self service. Salads looked lovely and if I return I'd order a chopped Italian salad and lots of that amazing garlic bread.

We finally had the opportunity to try Nate's. We really liked it. We split the Chicken Parm and Toasted Ravioli. And since the wife knew of the "dance when you arrive" free bread deal, we also had bread with a small pasta salad. Everything tasted great. With water, our bill was $33 before tip.

Amazing food!!! This place is in a great location, and about once a month, my partner and I order date night takeout from Nate's.We have always been impressed with the quality and quantity of food we get, and leftovers usually become lunch the next day.

It's a locally owned little Italian restaurant with friendly and warm service. The place is at Fry's complex, easy parking. Small and pack most of the time at meal time.Don't serve wine but they allowed customers to bring own wine with $5 fee for opening cork and preparing wine glass.Their portion is very generous.Delicious pasta & lasagna.

Be prepared for HUGE portions & great food! It's a very cozy space beside Fry's Grocery. You order at the counter then sit down (if there's room). The ladies were friendly. The place is homey and there were 2 separate birthdays happening and everyone at the restaurant sang to them. They also give hot buttery bread and cold pasta for the table. Needs work: The restaurant is super busy with dine-in and takeout orders. The kitchen needs to be more organized on keeping orders together and coming out at same time. We had 3 dinners come out and still waited for 4th dinner for 10 more minutes. There was another couple who never received one of their dinners and ended up asking for a refund.

My boyfriend and I went here today for the first time, and it was outstanding. The service and the food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered the calamari, garlic fries, chicken Parmesan sub, chicken scampi, and tiramisu. Best Italian food I've had in Arizona.
