A continuously-functioning mom-and-pop run neighborhood market since 1904 (maybe '05), Mimosa is a treasure. The owners live behind the shop and are staffing the store every day. Mom runs the register and Dad does the butchering. They had fresh lemon pastries when my wife and I went in.This is a local grocery with a little of everything. Expect to spend more than at a box store. The oldest locals still go here and spend $0.05 for the candies that cost them $0.01 when they were kids.

We went on a tour with the Bisbee Tour Company and our guide pointed out Mimosa, the "local grocery store", explaining it's the oldest and only operational grocery store in Bisbee having been in business since 1904 (if I remember correctly). Later that day I went to Mimosa to get some milk and my husband mentioned to the shop keep that the Bisbee Tour Company guide had told us about her market while we were on the tour and I thought she would come unglued. She explained that the grocery store was there for the locals, they have a small kitchen where they make bread, homemade yogurt etc. and if all the tourist came in and bought all merchandise there wouldn't be anything left for their customers. What a horrible problem to have! Selling more product and increasing revenue... maybe by so much you could hire more people to help you with the work load? I manage a P&L... I don't see the problem! The tourist create the jobs for the locals you serve. No tourists, no business. No business, no jobs. No jobs... no locals. Keep that in mind before you blow up at another outsider. The store is really cute and has all the staples (and then some... herbs in mason jars sold by the ounce!). What a shame the owner doesn't want to share that. I can't decide if I'm shopping there every time I come to Bisbee or if I'm never going there again!

My mom and I stopped in yesterday in the middle of our Golf Cart Historic Tour with Bisbee Tours so that my 72 yr old mother could have a bathroom break and I could pick up some heavy cream for our morning coffee. I have NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY IN MY LIFE by a business owner. Our tour guide was mortified and my mom was incredibly embarrassed. We ended up going to the disgusting public restroom at the park. I would never in a million yrs give this HORRIBLE woman my business. I understand if you have a policy in place but being RUDE is uncalled for!!! I chose not to pay $6 for a pint of heavy cream and I truly hope that when others are shopping in Bisbee, they will choose another option as well. Horrible person!!!

Great selection, friendly staff, and the bread looked amazing! 5 cent and 10 cent candy at the register was a nice touch. Don't see that much anymore!

Ralph and his lovely wife were inside working. Without an appointment the courteously welcomed me ang gave me a quick orientation. Bisbee is very lucky to have them. Go support the market on Saturday mornings for in house baked items, produce and meet neighbors of this no nonsense original Bisbee neighborhood. Go soon before gentrification fully engulfs us all.

Mimosa Market no longer serves sandwiches :( Looks like they have everything else you'd need in a grocer, though, including friendly owners!
