Mildred & Dildred

I came here specifically looking for playmobil for my daughter for Christmas. I'm not aware of anywhere else in town that carries it. (If you know of anywhere else, please let me know!) While they have a good selection of playmobil nothing tickled my fancy, so I perused the store, and wow, do they have an awesome selection of toys. Sooooo many fun things. I spent quite a bit longer in here than I planned to. While I didn't get any playmobil I picked up some other items for my daughter and nephew. Staff was friendly and ready to assist right away. Also love the free gift wrapping! Tucson is lucky to have this store! I'm looking forward to bringing both of my kids here soon.

Independently owned children's store are becoming less and less common. Especially in Tucson. Mildred & Dildred is such a gem. They have the store packed with books, toys, activities and so much more for all ages started from newborn. I can always count on finding something when I go there and the staff are always happy to point you in the right direction. Their complimentary gift wrap is also a lovely touch!

Mildred and Dildred is my go-to place for gift shopping for my nieces and any other child for whom I've had to buy presents. They've curated a fantastic collection of fun and educational toys, books and more. They have a fantastic selection of stuffed animals and plush toys, and gifts for every price point., which I love. The staff is always friendly, and the free gift wrapping option is a nice bonus. This store is a true Tucson gem and we're so lucky to have it in our city.

I just love this little toy shop, it's literally so cute!! Everyone there is really kind too I visit often and always walk out with something whether it be a pack of stickers or a new coloring book!

This is a well stocked toy store that weHoped had socks for gift ideas. They did, but just one rack. So many Toys, games and stuffed animals.

AMBIANCE: Colorful, fun, inviting and clean!STAFF: Eh. Not as inviting as the decor. I've followed them from La Encantada with my 3 kiddos down to their new location and the owner and staff still treat me like a nobody. I've seen them go through hoops, climb ladders and engage with other customers, so friendly and all, but they always seem to give me the side eye while I hand over my credit card. They have their favorites with ill mannered children, but I still take my kiddos back because we are kind but I have very low expectations of kind engagement with them.STORY TIME: Always wonderful!PRICING: Ranges from $---$$$$ Something for everyone.PARKING: AmplePHILANTHROPY: Owner doesn't support local non-profits as much as the local supports her.

Gone are the days of comfortable shopping, truly. Nothing says you're welcome in a store quite like getting stared down and followed! I was very upset, after all this was not my first or even my second time here. I understand the need for security, but isn't that what cameras are for? Do you have to make it so painfully obvious? Don't take your time shopping here or else they might think something of it apparently...

Great place to get kids toys! They even provide personalized gift wrapping so no need to worry about wrapping it yourself. My daughter picked out all the ribbon colors for them to wrap the toy in and they offer a wide range of toys with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!

Need to update this as they have moved to Swan Ave. into their very own brick and mortar. It looks like it used to be a house, but it is really well done and very cute. They have lots more space, which means lots more inventory. They have such great stuff, I could plunk down several thousand dollars easily buying stuff. It makes it more difficult not to spend because we now have four granddaughters, and who doesn't like to spoil their grandkids?Really, today we spent three digits on Christmas presents. Look, the stuff they have that's also on some online stores, like the one with a big smile on their boxes and delivery trucks? Mildred & Dildred's prices are competitive. I've found many items that are the same price or maybe even a tad cheaper. Yeah, a few items might be a hair more expensive, but I would waaaaaaaaaaay rather support a local business that is so good than send my money elsewhere. I also love the fact that you can actually see the stuff, put it in your hands (or at least the package), read about it, or have one of the employees tell you about it.The employees are super friendly (Well, they work at a TOY store!) and are super helpful. Look, most of the employees there have been there awhile. One has been there for 15 years! Another for 5, and so on. They know their toys and make helpful suggestions for age appropriate toys with the fun appeal. Of course, they carry so much great stuff.You will see in one of my videos, the stuffed animal and book room. So many great books for all ages. You just need to go to the store and take a look around. I love this place!5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Best place EVER!!! I will never stop coming here, I buy random things non stop for my son and we end up spending hours together having a blast. The whole crew there is amazing and they are great at helping figure out the perfect toy for your little or big one! I love the huge variety they have and how beautiful the store is itself, the mural out front is just so eye catching. I could also get lost in their stuffed toy section, they have the best variety I have ever seen in my life!!!! This is the new and improved Mrs. Tiggy winkles toy store. Love it here.
