OMG I can't believe how good this place is! Tried it for the first time today and bought some flour tortillas, corn tortillas and pan dulce to take into work. Everything is delicious! The pan dulce was soft, not too sweet and everyone loved it. I tried one of each of the tortillas with some queso fresco and they were both . Fresh and delicious. The inside is very clean with a couple of tables to sit and enjoy your goodies at. The owner Mr. Mendez was very kind, helpful and had a big smile the whole time. Highly recommend!!

One of the best bakeries I've tasted. Too bad they are so far away from home. Please park on 23rd st. You can't park on 6th Ave. The bread with cream and jalapeño cheese is delicious. We got some fresh flour tortillas $4.00. They had the Rosca de Reyes small $15 and large $25. We didn't get any. The bread prices range from $1.50-$2.00. Very friendly customer service. Enjoy!

This has been the most consistently good Mexican bakery I've been to in Tucson. Most other bakeries you have to fight for the attention of the phone locked teenagers at the cash register but here the owner is almost always here baking/selling and just trying to make a living off a good product. -The cochitos are perfect, exactly as they should be. Most other places in town serve more of a ginger bread pig, which is not a cochito.-The jelly rolls are usually huge, moist and amply filled with jelly. Again most other places serve dry yellow cake with a red swirl of almost nothing in the middle.-The conchas here are a new favorite of mine. They are a very mild, not overly sugary, sweet bread experience that is perfect with coffee. All in all it's just a very solid bakery in terms of product, price and customer service. The only downside is the location. Let's be honest, it's in the ghetto and you will probably have to ward off undesirable people asking for your money at some point. But if you can deal with that then realize this is probably the low key best Mexican bakery in Tucson.

Amazing new bakery and tortilla shop in south Tucson. Smelled so good when we walked in. Fresh breads, empanadas, tortillas, and Mexican pastries. Owner Fernando was there on a Sunday and gave us a tour of the facility, he's done a great job getting it up and running. He even has a section for Mexican candies and sodas. Great tasting glass bottles of Coke-Cola. Keep up the great work sir.

WOW. Sooooo good. The Empanada crust was so fresh and flaky, akin to a pie crust. Everything else was undeniably fresh and yummy. The young lady who waited on us was the owner's daughter and she was so patient and kind. I live on the far east side and was in the area to meet a friend and just happened upon this bakery. I will travel to get my bakery items!!!

We were in town on vacation and stumbled across this panederia in search of pan dulce. What a find! We met the owner and got to hear about his passion and journey in the industry! A true gem! We stocked up on pan dulce, pan artisenal and tortillas for our venture back home to Chicago!

What a gem. I went here after trying La Estrella and was glad I did (I love La Estrella but this place is more low-key and only 1 location). The man behind the counter was superbly helpful and kind. The pineapple empanadas and homemade tortillas are THE BOMB, seriously my fave tortillas ever. They came piping hot when we bought them. I'll drive from the foothills over here anytime.

The bread was so soft, flavorful and fresh even after a 30 minute drive. The owner came out and was so kind and helpful! Hands down better than anywhere I had in California, it's like they all have the same flavor but this bakery taste like it's a family recipe. Thank you! Just on vacation.

Just walked in looking for pastries to bring a friend, but walked out with several for ourselves as well, including the best cinnamon raisin buns we have ever tasted. Fluffy, not too sweet, the perfect amount of cinnamon. Plus the friendly and helpful service was the "icing on the cake"!
