Melio's Trattoria

We ordered pizza to go and it was ready within thirty minutes. Everyone was friendly and very helpful helping us decide what to order. Everything was delicious but my only complaint is the veggie pizza. All the veggies are separate. I prefer them mixed all together so I get a bit of everything on one slice. We will be back on our next visit.

Melios is literally the cutest - the decor the art, the displays everything is just so charming and fun with an amazing view of the mountains, we would've loved to dine outside but they were not offering that, that evening. Tortellini, ravioli, bolognese, lasagna and veal - those are the entrees we ordered and everyone had a bite of each persons, it was good but didn't overwhelm me with eye rolling flavor, the homemade noodles were delightful. The eye rolling flavor came from desserts, the peach caramel cake sounded like a strange combination but it was sooo good! The owner is the sweetest and you can tell she is busting her hump to make sure everyone has a great experience and we love and support that! Overall we had a great experience at Melios.

Authentic and amazing Italian cuisine and ambience. My first bite took me back to Italy. This place is like no other. Worth every penny. EXCELLENT service and fresh ingredients. I can taste the difference. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

News flash They are closed for service July 10 to sept 15. That's too bad, this was my plan b for a Tubac visit today.

This is a difficult review. Why? Because of conflicting aspects. First the food. Its okay. Not great, but okay. The menu is limited and mostly pizza. The portions are tiny. But, the desserts are to die for. Truly. Home made and just exquisite. Ambiance: its cute, but again, not great. Part of that is due to the way they treat you - NOT GOOD! No, they aren't rude, but for sure they are clueless about service and attetiveness. Its a struggle to get anything. We had to ask for a wine list, salt and pepper, and silverware all more than once to get them. Bad. Its a place that you might go to if you are already in Tubac and want italian, but as a destination, no. They could do so much to make it so just by being better at service, and friendlier. I think that is the stumbling block - they just treat you like they are doibg you a big favor and they resent it.

The recommendation came from our host and assured us that the owner was from Roma, Italia and the food was very authentic. Since I'm gluten intolerant I opted for a shrimp salad. The plate was swimming in liquid from the dressing and the lettuce which was not properly drained. The shrimp was also billed to be grilled, but they were not. That being said, my bad for ordering shell fish in the middle of the desert. On the positive, great service and a beautiful view of the Santeria Mountains. Since there was only one other couple in the entire restaurant, they seriously need to consider lowering the volume of their music.

We went to Milos the other Saturday night for our 51st Anniversary dinner and was very disappointed. The place was almost empty and the service rushed but OK. We order the Carbonara pasta dish, which we enjoyed many times in the past. This time the pasta was way too Al Dente and the sauce looked like pasta water with a few chunks of pork fat. It looked more like a under cooked noodle soup. We where every disappointed and sent it back after sampling. The Owner came over and yelled it's "ITALIAN CLASSIC CABONARA". WE paid the check and left.I felt sad that maybe somethings is seriously wrong at Milos Trattoria.

Birthday party of 10 adults. Great food very attentive service and a nice birthday cake to finish the evening.

Spendy & you get the lowest grade, Paper Napkins, Pizza Dough from the Dollar Store. If you desire Ambiance & Atmosphere be sure to arrive when it's Dark,...The View is of an unmanicured dirt lot overlooking a Bin Laden like compound. O~M~G! No Crusty Italian Bread/Rolls rather ya get Texas Toast to dip in oil. Meat Sauce or Meat Balls, the staple of any good Italian Place, were nowhere in sight. Paper Napkins? Come Onnnnnnn! It had not changed a lick in the ten years since we last visited,...Olive Garden Salad and offerings with real Italian Sausage & Meat Balls beats this shanty out back of a Gas Station by a mile!
