Mediterranean

The food is very good and the prices are not bad. My mom had the falafel, and I had the steak shawarma. Both were good. The only thing I didn't care for was the steak was more like roast meat. Tender, but not what I expected. To me, steak should be slightly chewy and a bit drier, but tender. Now there is a possibility that this isOverall it was very tasty. The lady who cooked our order was very nice.

You would never expect to find the best shawarma in town from a small truck located somewhere called The Pit. The mother/daughter combo who runs this truck are extremely friendly, and the shawarma is delicious with generous portions. Each bite was packed with flavor. The meat was perfectly crisp with excellent seasoning that paired nicely with the acidity of the pickled vegetables. Additionally, the baklava and baba ganoush were delicious. Try this place out if you want to support a deserving business and have some tasty Mediterranean food!

At the behest of my wife, we made our way down to Mediterranean at The Pit this afternoon. She had her heart set on some falafel and hummus. Fortunately, they offered a falafel plate that came with a little hummus and a side salad. I tried a little bit and it was really good. Wifey was happy.Silly me though. I had to order the Beef Shawarma sandwich. I love them. I've had these all over the Mediterranean and they are wonderful. Most notably, in Germany they call them Döners (doo-ners) or just Doners. They are wonderful. You can read about them here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doner_kebab They are also very popular on the streets of Lebanon and Israel.So, I was taken in by all the superlative reviews in this space. I don't know what everyone was eating but it wasn't what I got. For me the meat was dry, tasteless, overcooked. If it wasn't for some of the salad and sauce inside, it would have been a complete disaster. The young man who was taking the orders came by the table to ask for feedback on what I thought of the sandwich. I asked him to have a seat so we could discuss it. I think he was a little bit taken aback but they really need to do a little more work on this. The Doner kebab, when made correctly is a killer sandwich and I can only hope Mediterranean can figure it out.

Delicious food and very friendly! Appreciate having lots of Vegan choices and it's right on the loop trail so easy to get to as well.

Wow! The best food, service and prices! We loved everything we had. Shawarma, dolmade, kafta, falafel and perfect homemade pistachio baklava were shared and love ved by us all. Can't wait to go back again. Go to The Pit for a truly delicious meal. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful service! The two ladies at the truck were very informative of the menu options and what each item was. TONS of vegan options! Grape leaves were a 10/10 for me

Delicious food! Definitely recommend the steak shawarma plate and the falafels. The portion sizes are big, and great for the price. The yellow rice that came with the shawarma plate was flavorful and rich. The lady who took my order was also very friendly and informative!
