McGary's Discount Groceries

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Some items are priced more the retail store so it is best to do your research prior to going. Other then that it is a discount grocery store so some items are damaged like dented cans or off season like Christmas pretzels in July. But it doesn't hurt the quality of the stuff.

"I would give you a zero but that is not possible so I give you a one", is literally the definition of this store. It was so nasty. And if you didn't see moldy makeup you seen moldy food. NEVER COMING BACK!!!

Great liquidator of all kinds of supermarket items. Yup, watch those Buy By Dates . Much is past it so check labels. I have a list for protein and granola bars, drinks, juices, fancy groceries, candy, coffee, tea, frozen stuff, cat food, cheeses, snacks, condiments and surprises too. It is the luck of the draw I go there at least once a month for highly discounted items. I have seldom gotten anything this happy mama could not eat. I Ve the Kind Bar products, big Ghirardelli chocolate bars, bottles of Perrier and Packages of Cookies all for around a buck a bag. No complaints here with a friendly and helpful staff.

I've been here a few times as I travel to Tucson for work regularly. The area is sketchy. Put any valuables out of sight and lock your car. I always find a deal or two here. The employees have always been courteous and helpful.

I have five kids which means I know a lot about discount grocery outlets. When we lived in Pennsylvania we visited a local one twice a week. It was a great way to save money on are already expensive grocery bill.We stopped into McGarys last and left empty handed. EVERYTHING was expired. Everything. Some two years past their sell by date.I am very familiar with how discount grocery outlets work. I know that they get items from stores that are are very close to their sell by date, as well as scratch and dent items- but this place was just gross.Did I mention the store employee who was open carrying with an unsecured, id be willing to bet loaded- firearm?Both my husband and I said as soon as we got to the car we needed to wash our hands ASAP the place was just icky. ‍Be careful writing a review of this place, they reply to EVERY negative review saying you are a thief lol!

They have a great selection of candy The store is very clean and they have everything. Ample parking I go every week. So much cheaper than the chain grocery stores. They have house hold goods Too. Try it. I like it.

This is a wonderful place and I highly recommend shopping there they have amazing prices wonderful customer service. When I go to mcgary's it's a relaxing environment and an amazing experience. Even the customers are nice because everyone's so happy. Relaxing and calming with the best prices in town.

Obviously I love the prices and variety, but the aggressive security guard is too much, it's appalling to me what I witnessed him do and then turn around and threaten a complete bystander who was complaining about him firing his (thankfully) air soft pistol at apparent shoplifters, the problem was they were running away and he was firing in the direction of traffic going thru the intersection
