Marana Physical Therapy is an A+ Experience I highly recommend Marana Physical Therapy. Three keys stand out with my Marana PT experience and they are clarity, competence and helpful conversation. For me, everything starts at the front desk or the initial phone conversation. Kim is an excellent office manager to handle your Initial conversation and paperwork. She showed great patience with me and my doctors office. Thanks Kim. Health matters demand clarity and the first question Connie asked me is ,"Tell me why you're here today?" I shared the why and then she walked me through the doctors report for clarity. Clarity is king. The approach is conversational and like the sitcom "Cheers", everyone on staff knows your name. They hire a great group of younger people and they are good students, workers and treat everyone respectfully. The offices, Coachline and Ina Rd are well maintained and clean. Both Connie and Jerry provided me knowledge to build my core strength, stay loose and a plan to keep my back healthy. Connie meticulously wrote every exercise down for me and I use the sheet daily for the proper reps. Very nice touch! After twelve sessions I can honestly say that the physical therapy works. Thank the Lord and the PT's and staff at Marana Physical Therapy.Sincerely,Dr. Edward Pearson

I came to Marana Physical Therapy for my knee after a snow boarding accident. Connie and Jerry were able to get me back into my active pain free life style. Their entire staff was friendly, funny and family style. I always felt that my pain and concerns were addressed and I was taken care of. Highly recommend.

My daughter broke her radial head in her elbow when we first moved to Marana. New to the town we knew no one. I was recommended to Marana Physical Therapy by my daughters surgeon and so grateful he did!! From day one, everyone in the office treated us like family. They not only took exceptional care of my daughter but held my hand through all the ups and downs of the surgery and the healing process.

I highly recommend Marana Physical Therapy. I worked with Connie at their Continental Ranch location on Coachline. Connie and her staff are dedicated and professional. My recovery after knee replacement surgery was a success due to their commitment to the patient. After any joint replacement surgery Marana Physical Therapy is the best choice for your recovery.

I was nervous at first because it is a small operation the girl on the phone sounded timid and unsure but Jerry was knowledgeable and professional, and also friendly and full of suggestions. Following his instructions and doing a little extra, recuperation went easy (well, as easy as can be after being cut by a surgeon's scalpel) and healing was rapid. The place is small and easy to drive past without seeing it, but it is clean, well run, and has all the equipment needed. Hopefully, I'll never need PT again but if I do, I'm willing to go back to them.

I have to caveat this review by stating I have worked with Jerry on many occasions over the past few years, first for recovery after an ACDF surgery, and then again in 2020/2021 for degenerative disc disease. I always felt I received great care from him, and I always got along great with the support staff. All of that changed after arriving for my 8 a.m. appointment on 4-30-2021. While scheduling a follow-up on 4-24-2021 the receptionist told me that the "insurance billing clerk" had some questions for me about my insurance. She would address them on the 30th. Fine. I have a health reimbursement account (HRA) plan through my employer, which is a type of coverage that provides a pool of money which can be used for any covered medical expense; the pool of funds also counts towards the deductible. While that pool exists, charges are applied to it and then any remaining charges are paid out of pocket until the deductible is met, at which point the plan pays 85% of charges until the out-of-pocket max is met. In my case the pool of funds is $1200, of which I still had $1054 as of 4-30 (verified through my patient portal). As long as there are funds available the billing is transparent: I never see the bill until the $1200 is gone. While waiting to sign in to my 8 a.m. appointment a blonde woman whom I have never met emerged from the back of the office and loudly stated "Mike! I left you a voicemail this week and you never called me back!" This wasn't stated in a playful way. It was accusatory, bordering on hostile. Even through a mask, I could tell the woman waiting near me for her appointment was shocked at the way in which I was approached. While I was trying to figure out who this person was and why she thought I owed her anything, she launched into her interrogation about my insurance. She fired off questions about my plan, how it worked, coverage and how much she thought I owed to the clinic (in this case, $65). As I was trying to answer her questions and explain, as well as offering immediate payment on what I owed, she interrupted me and then hit me with it: She stated she had contacted a "plan rep" at my provider (UHC) and had been informed that I didn't have an HRA account, that the rep told her that type of plan didn't exist, and that they wouldn't be paying anything because I owed it. It all suddenly became crystal clear. In my professional capacity I have conducted hundreds of interrogations over the last twelve years. A common tactic is to ask questions to which you already know the answers, allow the person to paint themselves into a corner, and then hit them with the truth. That's usually when you get the admission or confession. This woman wasn't trying to solve an insurance problem; she thought she had caught a liar and potential thief. In her mind I was trying to get one over on the clinic and she busted me. And she wanted me to know it. She then dropped the cherry on top: She admitted that she didn't know how HRAs worked, the rep could have been wrong, and that we would just have to "wait and see" how my insurance addressed the billing. The best was still yet to come, however. After essentially accusing me of being a liar, and loudly chastising me for not returning her call, she looked me in the eye and said, "Ya, I don't know what we are doing with you today. I guess I'll go find out." Hardly. I left. The last time I checked I don't answer to any twenty-something clerks for an explanation on anything. She was rude, hostile, and completely disrespectful. I don't know whose daughter or niece she is, but she shouldn't be working there, and she shouldn't be working with customers...ever. As I said earlier, I like Jerry and Connie. I've received good care at their clinic, but this treatment was completely unacceptable and I won't be going back to have my integrity publicly questioned by some clerk. For those willing to undergo the questioning, I hope your papers are in order.
