Full disclosure, I'm a comedian and performed in the May show. That said, I was really impressed with what Randy and Stephanie have going here. The other comedians were top-notch, professional, and truly clean. Often, when a show is billed as 'clean,' some of the comics still stretch the limits. Didn't happen here. The audience was great. They had a great time, were really engaged and liked all the styles of comedy performed. The venue is a good venue -- middle school auditorium. The audience sat close, could see the comedians. Great spot for comedy.Good luck, Marana Laughs! Keep up the great work.

I attended the Marana Laughs comedy show last night and was very favorably impressed. The business is associated with Clean Comedy U.S.A. in Phoenix, and the professional comedians come to Marana first on Friday and then perform in Phoenix on Saturday once a month. Funny man Jim McCue from New York was the main attraction and had the audience in stitches at every punch line. In addition to lack of profanity and sexual innuendo, Marana Laughs asks its comics to refrain from religious and gender bashing. "You don't have to be worried about embarrassing your family and friends or your reputation when you attend our shows," Stephanie Jenkins, co-owner of the comedy club said on a Marana News interview. Tickets are only $10 per person, with family packages that are less. The show is at the Coyote Trails Elementary School in Marana off of Silverbell, but don't let the current meeting place put you off. The show, which has been playing for several years was from 7:30 to 9:30 PM with an opening act before the main event, and like any great program, you hardly felt it. Doors open at 6:30 PM. You could make dinner and a show a night out with your special someone.
