This has been my favorite Vet Clinic in Tucson, and I have tried many. I took my Yorkshire here and he always got top quality care. The prices for his checkups and shots were fair and I always left feeling my dog got the best care. When I had to make the choice to let my 18 year old go. They treated him like he was a king and made him comfortable and gave me a shoulder to cry on. That was 4 years ago. My heart finally has healed, and I will again start using this clinic as I found a new friend. He is a Yorkie-Poo and he will call this place his clinic.

I've taken both my cat and dog now on visits to Madera. The office is itself is an old ranch style home modified into a clinic. It's very cozy and homey feeling, kind of unusual for a vet office in my experience, but I liked it. My senior dog saw Dr. Rusty (sp?) and I've never had a better experience with a vet. He genuinely cared about my pup and did not make me feel rushed. Provided great options and explanations for everything, was very patient with my questions. He recommended some diet changes to help my dog and honestly her digestion has been so much better, just within a few weeks, noticeable positive changes with her. Dr. Rusty's background is in holistic veterinary care, and I'm a big fan. He unfortunately is a fill-in vet as needed it seems, so we won't be able to see him regularly. My cat saw Dr. Olson, who seems to be a more regular vet for Madera, there a few days a week. She was also great, very patient and explained my options clearly. I didn't feel she was pushing unnecessary services on my cat, in fact she gave me an extreme option and also a more practical option and helped me weigh the pros and cons of both. I felt comfortable following her guidance given my budget and going with the practical option to start out. The two techs my pets saw were also really friendly and helpful. Exams are $53. This is a little higher than our other vet by almost $10. The difference in care has been worth it. I have yet to interact with Dr. Redmon, but I approve of the staff she hires!

In recent years I've found myself without a vet after having the same one since around '95. I'm struggling with the stars to leave, they squeezed me in the same day the week before Christmas and set my mind at ease that it wasn't a mega emergency and set her for surgery weeks away so for that I am reluctantly giving 4. However all of the techs faces remained hidden behind masks the entire time as if still trapped in a Covid bubble which made communication quite difficult. I opted to go elsewhere for a second opinion. The first thing that was shockingly obvious to me in speaking to people not hiding their faces from me was how much more of an adequate patient history they received, I was much more comfortable to communicate all my concerns which is ultimately best for my dog. It's crazy I actually started to forget what the real world was like. I hope that these people can get back to it soon.

We've been coming here since we moved to Tucson back in 2005 when it was run by Dr. Hutchison, who then passed the baton to Dr. Redmon. I would not take my pets anywhere else. My dog Petunia has become a semi-regular and the staff here is always absolutely incredible with her.I think some folks find them a little pricey, but I think they are totally fair in price... for vaccinations you can easily take your pet to a vaccine clinic that run monthly to save some $$$. But for anything else, this is the place and they have always been able to squeeze me in when Petunia has had an urgent issue.

Called and asked if I could purchase a tiny syringe to measure mite medicine I needed to apply to to my guinea pigs and they flat out refused. Wanted me to make an office visit to come in... ummmm no. I already know what they have, mites are pretty easy to diagnose do they need to see a cat for fleas?!?Called another vet they gave me 5 for free. Guess which vet will get my business when/if my cavies are actually sick???

The Wife and I are dog people, and a good Vet is as important as a good people doctor or mechanic. We hit the MOTHER LODE today!!! Madera Veterinary is one of the top places to take your "kids"! After losing our long term Vet to retirement, we bounced around until the word of mouth interested us. We had or appointment with Dr. Candi Burton. WOW!!! What an amazing person! She is more concerned with the well being of your pet then anything else. We hit it off from the start, and will follow her to the ends of the earth!

I've been a loyal customer of Madera Vet for more than 20 years. I have never received the poor treatment, customer service and lack of compassion or empathy that I experienced recently. I called to confirm my appointment for my injured dog, and was met with "you're not on the schedule". In the past, when scheduling errors occurred I was offered options for my pet's care, another appointment, squeezing us in or alternative providers. Megan offered nothing but a stern "No". I requested to speak with the clinic manager and was told "No, she's not available at all today." Finally, Megan offered to put me on hold to see when the manager would be available, I was put on hold for 20 minutes then hung up on. I tried calling back every hour until closing, but was sent immediately to voicemail with a full mailbox. This experience was so traumatic I have requested my dogs' records and have changed vets. The lack of care and concern for my pet's injury was so blatant that as long as Megan is employed at Madera I will go elsewhere. After speaking with other staff members and sharing my concerns on the following days, they didn't agree to address my concerns or act on them. There are plenty of good veterinarians in Tucson, I suggest you go elsewhere.

In spite of the multiple messages I left for Dr. Heather Redmon of Madera Veterinary Hospital, she was either too busy or too uncaring to talk to me regarding my very sick cat. She finally called on the day he passed. I suggest you look elsewhere for veterinary care for your animals.

I had a emergency today 01/27/2022 I was at the Ivan Dog Park when this guy come in with his dog immediately the dog attacked my Doberman. I finally got the 2 dog's apart. I immediately rushed over to Madera @ 2pm no appointment. I was bloody up and my dog needed immediate attention. The staff bounced into action checked with Dr Redmond and Mando was seen cleaned up told he will be good. I got some medication for my dog. I am so happy and pleased at how they cared for Mando and me. The bill was so fair I was happy to pay for awesome service. Thanks again I would recommend them to anyone.
