Lucky’s Boba Tea

Wonderful customer service, and yummy tea! The owner was super helpful, and promptly made a big group order. I will definitely be back!

(Keep in mind the person writing this review is an insufferable matcha snob) With that out of the way, I'll be nice and do the pros first. Service was excellent, helpful, recommended food the best food on the menu, and gave me two options either to mix my strawberry syrup in or have it on rim of the cup. The battered shrimp were actually very tasty with a good squid and hot mayo drizzle, only sad part was it ended so quickly! Now for the bad. Whenever a matcha comes out and it's more brown than green I always know I'm going to be disappointed. Tasted more like milk than matcha in my humble opinion. Now I ordered the small, and ending up paying more than $7 for my drink. I actually almost fainted at that price! In total my small app and drink were about $17 dollars which for only a few more dollars I could have had an actual meal...Overall there are better boba joints in Tucson, but if you're in the area and want to try could be worth. I am willing to accept maybe I just ordered the worst thing on the menu.

I've been to Lucky's several times, and I've never had a bad experience. It smells great in there, the menu is huge (maybe somewhat hard to follow with all the scattered options posted in different places), the servers are always friendly and provide fast service, and the drinks never disappoint. My favorite is the lavender milk tea with boba. Some boba places have an overly artificially sweet taste, but the sweetness at Lucky's is just right. Love their flavors!

Have to say the inside huge improvement really happy they got rid of the freezer that was in inside dinning area. They have plenty of games and chalk design on the wall is done beautifully now and had cute touch of staff favorites. The only down side is I don't know if I had a bad batch but my boba was very bad. Seemed like it was undercooked extremely hard and had a gritty texture when I chewed in the middle of it.

I had never been to Lucky's before but was really excited to stop in because we love Boba! We walked in and I was able to see their vast menu, with so many different options for everyone. They even have food along with the Boba, which is really nice. The service was great. They did one drink at a time which was nice. They didn't have a line, and the ambience of the place was really nice as well. I will be back.

When trying a new boba place I always go for the classic milk teas. Anyone can mix a powder, but real tea takes skills. The employee was really nice in helping me pick the right drink and sweetness! I asked which drinks have real brewed tea and they said the only option was the Jasmine milk tea. I opted for regular sweetness and boba. The milk tea was very good and I think could even be 75% sweet. It was creamy and the tea and floral flavors came out nicely. But unfortunately the boba was really bad and jelly-like. I think this is normal at this location as my cousin had the same experience a few months ago Great atmosphere for studying and plenty of outlets plus free parking. I really want to love it! After a year of not having boba I decided to stop in as we like to shop local. We were not acknowledged when we walked in which is "expected" these days. There were 3 teenagers in front of me paying with cash (all $1s and a few coins). The girl behind the counter, and the only person there, was not able to figure out how to count the cash. We waited for 10 minutes thinking another employee would show up to help and no one else came. She was still attempting to count the cash for the $14 and change order when we decided to leave. I do not know how she could be left alone or trusted with the register and customers. It was very frustrating and we went to the new chain place up the road.
