The other day the baby and I were just driving around and stumbled about this part of Park that I totally forgot existed. We parked the car and perused each store. Not sure, which ones we walked into as they're next to one another but we were greeted by Matilde a beautiful, brindle pooch. She was so sweet and totally loved on the baby. Matilde even plopped herself on the wood floor (in her store) and let the baby scratch her belly. We found lots of great, prideful and handmade works from furniture to everyday decor in each store we wandered through. We found our personal favorites- Catrina figurines. Seeing them throughout made the baby so happy, she was happy to see a beautifully framed, colorful painting of a "calavera family." In most of the shops, pictures are prohibited unless you obtain permission as the contents of the stores are full of one-of-a-kind items. The parking is on the street and it free. We also noted a small cafe in the Lost Barrio but it appeared to be closed during the time we went (Saturday mid-morning). There were signs on the street indicating that there was an estate sale out of a warehouse but were unable to see it as the baby finally got fussy. But, I do have to say that her attention was held for about an hour and half of just browsing these intriguing and beautiful findings!

Service is kinda irrelevant here unless you are in the market for custom made furniture....read on . It's a row of really cool shops of arts and antiquities, Southwest inspired furniture and home goods. Great for an afternoon of browsing with a coffee stop at Tooleys Cafe. If looking for custom furniture in a reasonable amount of time buyer beware of certain furniture makers like the Lost Barrio Gallery. This artist, although talented, works on his own schedule with no regards to customer requests. Meaning extremely slow. Rustica is the most amazing store where you will buy something for sure.

Really cute place with fun shops! Some of the shops are quite overpriced for what they are, but it's a beautiful little spot and perfect for a photo opportunity! Wish there was more of a selection. A few things closed down, so our options were limited. Service at each place was nothing spectacular. Pretty passive, but my expectation was that it would be that way and I was happy with that.

Small shopping strip with a variety of shops featuring good from India, Mexico, Arizona, China, and most points in between. Across the street, Little Little contains the most authentic items from Navajo artisans. The antique store just north is loaded floor to ceiling with to many unique items to mention, but a few are original and only photo of Cochises's son and his wife, military maps and one-off items like the control for the cathedral bells. Different days and hours for the stores, so check ahead.

We have been going to the Lost Barrio since we moved to Tucson in 2009. We have mostly done business with Southwest Furniture Design (great people!), but we also bought some furniture from Petroglyphs.I love the ambiance of the street and store fronts. Parking is easy and close. You never know what you will find here - the things they will have available seem to ebb and flow a lot depending on the seasons, etc. What I really like about the shops here is that everyone treats you on a very personal level - this is not cookie cutter merchandise, you can ask for custom products, tweaks to what you find on the show floor, etc.Anna from SW Design has come to our house several times with a truck full of stuff for us to try in our home. There is a charge, but she has deducted the charge from the price of whatever we have ended up buying. She has great flair and a sense of design that we found very helpful. The "Fred Flintstone" chairs we bought at Petroglyphs have been a conversation piece in our backyard for years. Now that our house is fully decorated we don't go there as often as we used to, but it's still fun to drop by if we are in the neighborhood just to see what they have.

If you live in the area and want furniture or interiors that are unique and high quality then this one block of businesses is most definitely worth your time. If you are not in the market for furniture or home decor items then this is not the place for you. This is Not a flea market or a string of Mexican American retail stores selling non-household items. There are some beautiful pieces here, fabulous tables and sofas, etc. prices are very reasonable.

I ordered furniture on Sept. 11 and paid 1/2. Now it is January 26 and I still have nothing. I do not live in the area and so cannot go there and demand a refund or do much. My son drove 30 hours from across the country to pick it up and still nothing. I have called repeatedly and they say two weeks over and over. I am at my wits end and concerned that I may have lost the money I paid them. The furniture and work in the shop is beautiful, but do not buy anything that is not already made and you can take with you.

After 12 weeks waiting for our furniture to be built still no furniture. We stop in and get lip service. We call and get a we will check and call you back with no reply. So we had to resort to disputing the charge. I would not recommend this business. To bad because the furniture is lovely but customer service is non existent.
