Los Pocho's Sports Grill

I wanted to love this place, but it just wasn't a place for me. It was so hot inside, and was a bit musty. I called ahead to see if it was kid friendly and it is according to them, but it's not a kid vibe in my opinion; it's definitely a bar and that's what it's giving lol not necessarily what I want envision for a family friendly sports bar. We decided to stay and give it a chance. Service was quite slow and the food did not taste very fresh. The fried foods tasted like they were fried in old used oil and my sandwich tasted sour so I didn't eat it. The beer was good but I did not really enjoy anything else. If you're looking for an old dive bar vibe with good beer and billiards then this may be a spot you would like but I don't see myself returning.

I'm really disappointed and let me give you a little background. I have visited this place several times and I know Lisa one of the owners. And when my club was looking for a place to hold board meetings I thought of this place. I called last week asking if it was ok if we held a board meeting today (Sunday Aug 18th) at 2pm. The gentleman I talked to said absolutely no problem they are open at 6am Saturday and Sunday there would be food no problem but to be aware that they would have a pool tournament at 4pm and it can get loud. I Said no problem we would be done by 4pm. When I got there around 130pm to kinda get set up the guy behind the bar in basketball shorts and dirty shirt seemed annoyed that I was there. I asked for a Pepsi and an order of onion rings (I have had before and they were good) he said he doesn't have any. I then asked for a menu and he said they had no food only Pizzoli. There was only 5 customers at the bar at this time so they were not busy. A couple other members came in and they went and asked for a menu too they too were told they were not serving until after 2pm because the cook was not there. They too said the guy behind the bar was rude and annoyed that they were asking for a sprite and ice tea. They had no ice tea either. We started our meeting at 2pm and at 3pm a new waitress came telling us that we had to pay our tabs because they couldn't transfer over tabs which was annoying and then we asked about food again and they said there was no food today. By this time I was annoyed the other member were pist at me because they were expecting food so I hurried up and finished the meeting so we can leave and go eat. In total there was 9 adults and 4 kids that would have all bought food and drinks. I was really hoping to find a place we could call our place for future club meetings but my club will not let that happen here. First impression mean to much nowadays.

Stumbled upon this amazing gem with my girlfriend on a Monday afternoon before going back home to LA. Good choices of beer, setup is nice and spacious including outside patio, pool tables are ready and other games alike, and food looked flavorful. The bartender was quick and friendly as well. Didn't get the entire experience but I will say I'm looking forward to coming back to this spot when I visit Tucson again. Made me even more excited to know the owner is a Dallas Cowboys fan! 5 stars champ!

Great burgers and salad. Wonderful staff. A new Tucson go to for a good burger and beer.

Make sure to bring OFF! or DEET. This place is full of mosquitos. I literally got eaten alive. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. Bartender was super nice though so there's that.
