I'm surprised their score is so low. I've eaten here a few times & have never been disappointed in the portion size, flavor of the meat, or price. The first time I went there they seemed slightly understaffed & only had salsa verde or rojo in the salsa bar. Chips were decent, heat lamp was turned off, which I found odd since warm chips are better than cold ones. The flan was a little underwhelming, but I guess getting it at a Mexican semi-fast food place doesn't bode well for that type of dessert. I really liked the al pastor burrito I had the last time I was here, completely stuffed with meat & a few small pieces of pineapple from the marinade. The avocado salsa was really good, once again, the heat lamp over the chips was off. Turn that heat lamp on & I'm looking at a 5 star review! Well, at least 4.5

Every neighborhood needs a late-night, drive-through Mexican restaurant they can lean on when they're too busy (or absolutely wasted) to prepare food for themselves like a functional adult. It is rather unfortunate when the cooking is of such questionable quality it'll have you thinking you can just eat in the morning instead. Bland salsas, egregiously greasy burritos, and the absolute worst cuts of carne (so much fat!) meant that even after a few cocktails, I didn't want to finish my order. There are better places like this nearby, and I'll stick with those.

Well, I made the mistake of coming here before I looked at the old score. Overall the service was very friendly, however I think a restaurant should mainly be judged on the food. I got the chicken quesadilla with rice, beans and a bag of chips. I had to pay extra for the chips. They just seemed like something they ran down to the local market grabbed and threw it in the bag. My quesadilla was greasy and the shredded chicken in parts we're very chewy and over cooked. I couldn't eat Half of my quesadilla because it was so greasy. My tortilla had parts that seemed dry as well.Great Service and poor food, not a good combination.Overall, go down the street to Taco Bell.

Nice place, but the food isn't exceptional. Today, I had the chicken fajitas. Nothing special, for sure. This comes with rice and beans, but I don't eat rice, so they substituted a double portion of beans. The beans we're okay, but the chicken just didn't have a lot of flavor. I had to add a ton of salsa, which also wasn't spicy - just something to dump on top. They do have pretty good carrots, which are a staple in Taco shops throughout the West. And the decor is nice. The staff is friendly, and this is one of the better Betos locations. Two stars for the food and four for the ambiance. Average = three stars...

This Los Betos is legend of UofA. Texas burrito with fries inside for less than $4. OK.I seriously think I would die of starvation of this establishment was not there. Some people may give it low reviews because it's sleazy, ok, point taken, but it's a cheap burrito shop so what do you expect. Try it!

Decent food. Fill up on the chips, rice and beans. Always check the daily special board for deals. Today was Wednesday so the chicken taco for $1.99 was a great deal. Lots of chicken, lettuce but the shell was so fragile I had to eat it with a spoon. But the best thing I ordered. I also ordered the #3 special with two enchiladas, rice and beans. The rice was okay and the beans were great, very creamy. The enchiladas not so good. I asked for shredded beef and each enchilada only had two small pieces of beef. It was filled with great sautéd onions and peppers but so much that I honestly through it was vegetarian and they had forgotten the beef. Average Mexican food for under $10.00 and filling. Don't forget to try the salsa verde and pickled carrots and jalapeños.

DONT GO TO THE DRIVE-THRU PAST 7:00pm!!! The food is amazing but the drive thru is extremely slow. For 1 burrito it took nearly 10 minutes to get through the drive-thru Even tho there's wasn't a line. I come here pretty often because again the food is amazing but it's not fast service.

Used UberEats to order a breakfast burrito with green chiles. Instead got a bean burrito, no eggs, no cheese, no green chiles. This isn't the first time Los Betos has shown it doesn't care what you order... they'll just give you what they just made. It's the last time I'm paying for it. DO NOT EAT HERE!!
