We had a wonderful two night stay at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. The desert-scape was beautiful from our room. They recently redid all the rooms. The whole property was maintained well and decorated nicely for the holidays. The service was friendly and attention to detail on point. It really is an all inclusive resort with lots of choices for food and activities. There were four restaurants and a coffee/juice bar. They have a heated outdoor pool, hot tub and cold plunge. They also have the serenity pool and hot tub which is for those 18 and over. The resort is currently redoing the spa area so unfortunately, the sauna was under construction. However, the gym and spa treatments such as massages were still available. There is also a golf course, pickleball courts and shuttles to sabino canyon for hiking! We found Loews to be very kid friendly. We requested a crib and it was delivered upon our arrival. They also gave us a hello bello welcome bag which was a nice touch. They had food to feed the Koi in the pond which was a fun activity for my son. They had a kids area set up with bean bags and a mailbox to mail letters to Santa. Most of the nature paths were paved so stroller friendly! I really appreciated that the breakfast opened at 6am since my son can be an early riser. We would definitely stay again or recommend to others!

Spent a few days here while my spouse attended a conference. Here's the scoop:The Good: The facilities are absolutely gorgeous--think luxury meets nature. From the lush landscaping to the perfectly manicured golf course, you almost expect a unicorn to prance by any moment. Breakfast at the Canyon Club? Delicious and enough options to keep you happy, whether you're a granola person or prefer pancakes that can double as a flotation device. The pool staff are top-notch. They'll ensure your drink is full and your towel game is strong. Vista Barista's service was friendly, precisely what you need when you're only half awake and desperately need caffeine. The Meh: Overall, service was... okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing that'll leave you writing sonnets either. Let's just say no one's getting an award for enthusiasm here. The 'Could Use a Little TLC': Upon check-in, I discovered one of the electrical outlets wasn't working, and the TV seemed to be on strike. They fixed the outlet and supposedly the TV, but as soon as we turned it off and back on, it was back to being a fancy wall decoration. The next day, things got even more exciting when a bathroom pipe decided to leak. Nothing says "luxury vacation" like water dripping out of the wall right next to the toilet! Oh, and construction during the day? Very noticeable. I get it; renovations happen, but it's hard to grab an early afternoon snooze when it feels like you're in the middle of a jackhammer symphony. Service at the Flying V was for the birds. I ordered two apple pies to-go, and after a long wait, I was told they were being "freshly baked" because they'd run out of the day's supply. So, you can imagine my surprise when I returned to the room and found my "fresh from the oven" pies were refrigerator-cold. Somebody was bending the truth here. Either the kitchen staff lied to the bartender (who takes the to-go orders) about needing to bake new pies, or the bartender forgot to put my order in and covered it up by claiming the pies were baked fresh. When I called the manager, she acted like I was asking for the moon and stars, simply requesting a warm pie. Apparently, "fresh" now translates to "fresh out of the fridge." Who knew? I could've warmed them up myself--if I'd been willing to fork over $15 a day for a microwave!Overall: The place is beautiful, and the amenities are great, but for the price, I expected a bit more attention to detail and less passive-aggressive pie conversations. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I'd bring my microwave next time.

Checking in was easy and the inside was clean, staff was very friendly. There was plenty of parking and our room was lovely. The pool is heated, and there is a seperate hot cold plunge pool as well as a hot tub. You can order food and drinks poolside . My favorite part about our room aside from the view was our HUGE bathtub. I was in heaven. The views are spectacular. There is a golf course and restaurant. Shopping is near by as well. I would definitely come here again.

We went recently for their annual tree lighting night and had a blast! It is definitely going to become a tradition! The tree was to the ceiling and beautifully decorated! They had chestnuts roasting on an open fire( literally ) plus a beautiful roaring fire in the glass fireplace! Balloons , letters to Santa and face painting for kids. Outside: hot cocoa, hot apple cider ,Christmas cookies (made in house) and a really great photo op w/ Mr. & Mrs. Clause complete with props and printed out pictures! As always impeccable service, we were lucky enough to get a table near the tree. Highly recommend the pizza! They use a starter from Barrio bread.. and you can definitely taste the quality! Complementary valet for the night made parking easy and the whole night was enchanting! Can't wait to come back an stay the night hopefully in the new year!

We took a family road trip to Tucson for a staycation - my sisters and their families also joined us. It was 4th of July weekend so they had many activities going on for the kids and adults. This included face painting, ballon artists, a DJ at the pool, and good lunch/alcohol specials by the pool.Rooms were nice and spacious! Very clean, but definitely needs some updates. Staff were friendly as well. No complaints. Not sure if we'd return, but for the American Express deal they had going on.. it was worth it. $60 daily breakfast credit, one time $100 resort credit and automatic late check out at 4pm (to name a few).

I stayed here this past Saturday night for the first time in years. The pool is a decent size but there is not a separate adult pool and there were alot of kids this time. We did the Blues brunch Sunday which I will review separately. The rooms were good. They don't have 24 hour or at least late hour room service so we had to do door dash. We were having after dinner drinks in the lobby bar and they never told us there was a last call for food or drinks so we missed out.The fitness classes were really limited. They only had one Friday night and 2 Saturday at 7am. Nothing Sunday. We were told that the pickleball court closes early as well which makes no sense since it's so hot out and would be best to play later at night.

The Loews Canyon resort was excellent. Stayed here for an entire week for work and had no issues. I arrived well before my checking time and they made arrangements to get me into a room ASAP.The fitness facility was one of the best I've ever been to for a hotel/resort. It had everything you could possible want with very up to date equipment. The concourse area was immaculate. So many cool views and trails to see. I heard the golf course was very nice too. I hope my work send me back here soon!

Check in was easy. Was not notified that I would be next to the construction occuring though until the next morning which was a huge bummer. The tv was broken in the room too so I had to wait 2 hours to get it fixed. It was nice to be able to text customer service which is new to me. Not very comfy but very loud.

We really loved our stay at Loews. Tucked away in the hills of Tucson, it's a great destination. There are restaurants on site, a really beautiful pool and Hot Tub as well as hiking trails. This hotel feels very elegant and luxurious. Rooms are comfortable, with a safe and small refrigerator as well as a balcony. Beds are VERY comfortable with luxury bedding. Parking is free in a well lit lot. We brought our grandchildren for a short trip to Tucson, and we all had a lot of fun. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The hotel is easy to find and secluded enough to help travelers feel like they've gone on a real getaway. The lobby area has huge glass windows that look out towards the pool area, which is truly stunning. Everyone that I observed there seemed to be having a great time, including us!
