Our family started at Legacy in kindergarten. We are now proud parents of a 5th grader.See, in order to understand why I will always fiercely defend and love this school I will take you back to the first day of school when my tiny little boy with a lisp asked for help and he started speech therapy as soon as possible. Our kiddo has grown in this school! He has recited poems, sang in concerts, ran in glow runs, said the pledge of allegiance daily, helped thank veterans, marched in parades, ran for student council, played the lead role in a school production of Shrek Jr, helped other kids transition to the next grade... all while being loved, cared for and been nurtured by teachers, staff and fellow parents. As a family we have volunteered at school, been in awe of how the entire team has rallied behind the kiddos and made this campus or of the best places to be part of.It's a fast paced accelerated campus. It's a campus where - yes, it's hard to find parking... you know why? Because every parent has to pick up and drop off our children. It's a campus that gets completely filled with veterans and first emergency responders for our gratitude breakfasts. It's a campus filled with parents who show up with cases of water when it gets too hot for our students and staff. It's a campus where children are greeted with positive comments telling them how appreciated they are. It's a rated A school because everyone works hard and together to get epic results. If you are looking for a regular school- we are not it... but if you want to be part of a community- come join us!We Love Legacy Traditional

A step up in quality education here in Tucson. They hold the children to a high standard and give you the parents the tools to help meet this goal. With high tech interfacing and up to date emails your child's homework assignments and science project due dates are just a click away! Why no fifth star?! Sigh, the lack of bus system really hamstrings this high speed/modern school. They have an acceptable pickup system, but by all that is holy, I pray for a bus system.

EVENT PLANNING Their planning for functions, is very poor and tends to leave families out. There is not consistent communication about events or how many tickets are available, the school has approximately 1400 students, but only 250 parents can attend an event. It's unfortunate that many students do not have a chance to have their families attend.

Do not send your son/daughter to this school! Classes have as many desks as they can fit- 34-35 students per class- teachers are overwhelmed and have no time to give students the help or support they need, driveline is a daily circus, administration is over the top strict, parents have to get kids to sporting events all over the state, and the basketball coach will actually bully kids he doesn't like.

This school is fantastic. Our daughter went there for 3 years and loved it. The teachers, (contrary to some reviewers) were amazing, as was all the staff. They have extra care for many students such as free tutoring. My only real complaint was that they spent too MUCH time with students that needed extra attention. Some that were behavioral distractions were allowed to stay in class and given a personal aide, which lead to wasted time and a lot of distractions. However, know that they "teach to the high". Unlike most public schools, they do not teach down to the lowest performing student, they teach up and expect kids to follow along. If they can't, then they are given plenty of tutoring etc. Teachers have always been amazing. We took our child out when our needs changed to home school. But there are no complaints and you will be in one of the best schools in the Tucson Area. Kids I k ow have come out prepared and ready for high school and beyond and have a great time there!

This school is fantastic. The teachers are the hardest working teachers in town. The principal is amazing and the staff are so caring and supportive. We switched schools just 11 weeks into kindergarten and have had an amazing experience for the past 8 years. It will be sad to say goodbye come May 2022!

AMAZING school for committed students and parents. The amount my daughter has learned in the past three years is incredible. She comes home teaching me new things every day. Its not easy like a public school but the education your kid will get is worth it. My daughter has loved her teachers every year and the staff is always friendly. The parking is really the one bummer they do need more. I don't believe kids must be above average to come here, but they do need parents to provide support with studying at home, homework and structure in the home to succeed.

Unless your child is above average I would stay clear of this school. The administration pretends to care about your child but they really don't. The teachers also discriminate and bully the children at this school. My biggest regret was sending my kid to this school. If you are considering attending this school- DO NOT! Unless you want your kid to be humiliated and talked down to by the teachers. Pathetic.

An accelerated school with good ratings, small setting with good atmosphere. Some teachers and staff play favorites especially with staff children. Bullying is everywhere but we have experienced it much less at this school. Have had 4 kids go to legacy until they started high school. Definitely gave them a step up in high school.
