Lee Lee International Supermarkets

We used to come here very often to buy groceries because it usually has everything we need or want. However, we went today and I was very disappointed. I think the owner has changed, but the vibe in there just feels different.We wanted help locating something since everything seems to have moved. We see a group of workers just standing there with their arms crossed, so we went to ask them where it was. But no one seemed willing to help us. We were walking up to them and they suddenly dispersed. So, we went back and waited to see if any of them were going to help us. After 5 mins, no one was helping us, so we just went up to them and they said "We don't speak Chinese." Funny thing is that we didn't even speak yet. So we spoke in English asking if they knew where the item was and they told us "Aisle 3." So, we went to that aisle and it was not there. Then, we had to ask another employee, and finally, he was the only one who was helpful. He told us that it was sold out, but he wasn't sure when it would come back in stock.In addition, a lot of the shelves in specific aisles were empty compared to a year ago when I went. I don't think I'm coming back. I'm very disappointed in the customer service.

If you haven't been here lately, here's the update. MORE stuff since new ownership took over. Also prices are a bit lesser than before on some items. I wish they carry more Japanese items and frozen food.

I had heard about this market when I moved to Tucson. I had no reason to visit until today. I ran out of black bean paste and, strangely, it's not a typical market item here.This market had several good choices. It has a deep selection of shelf items and frozen foods from a host of Asian cultures. It also has a strong selection of produce.Unfortunately, what this sterile cavernous space is missing are prepared foods like most large Asian markets that I've relied on in other cities.

Lee Lee's is the best international grocery store in Tucson for Asian food. It offers a wide variety of items you cannot find anywhere else. The produce section is excellent and fresh. I frequently grab Asian leafy green vegetables and melons, which are reasonably priced compared to traditional grocery stores. The instant noodle, snack, and meat sections also have good options. My favorite item to get by far is the frozen dim sum. For me, good dim sum is not very accessible. I always load up on the siu mai, har gow, and chicken feet, which are delicious for being frozen items. Even though the checkout lines can get long during peak times, the staff are very efficient. Overall, go to Lee Lee's for your international staples!

So far in Tucson, this is the only International market I have been to. I like coming here, for cooking ingredients that I don't find in regular stores. I cook a lot of Asian dishes, so this is my go to place. They have a lot of produce and cuts of meat that other stores doesn't have. They also have a wide variety of seasonings from other countries, mainly Asian. A lot of interesting snacks and beverages available as well. Seafood is also available in the store. They have fresh or frozen fish, shellfish and more to mention. There are 2 restaurants inside the store, Chinese and Vietnamese. It's always been fun coming here.

Great selection of food, especially East Asian! First time I came with a friend and we spent hours and went through each aisle in the store. Large, clean store, well worth the drive if you don't live nearby.

I absolutely LOVE Lee Lee International Supermarket.....their commitment and excellence is impeccable. Their honor and respect towards the customer blew me away with the AMAZINGLY respect and kindness they showed me when I had done some shopping there and had used a new card to pay and apparently it didn't go through however they didn't catch it until after i went home and I'm not sure if it was the owner or manager...but he called to tell me they were unable to get the payment and he told me that he would be honored if i would be willing to come in and pay for the things i had already taken home, but even if i don't come in and pay, he would like to keep me as an honored customer even if i chose not to come pay. I do believe in being honest and i did owe him and promptly sent in to pay and was treated with the utmost respect and kindness and thanked profusely for being honest and showing them the respect to pay them what i owed them. I will always have an extra discussion place in my heart for Lee Lee's and will always remember him and the way he inspired me.

Out of noodles with chicken soup so ordered bbq pork soup and duck soup. Broth(s) and noodles were awesome as was bbq pork. The duck however, was packed with bones! Not fun to eat.

We have enjoyed Tucson Lee Lee's for 30 plus years. We went there 12/18/2024 for holiday meal purchases and were utterly amazed at the changes that have taken place since this store has come under new management. Of the six employees on the floor who were asked for assistance in locating an item, none offered to help and all were dismissive. They did not want to talk to us. The front-end supervisor when asked about the location of the item, portrayed the same attitudeThe experience was so bad, we left the store angry at how little the customer means to this store now.After all these years Lee Lee International Market was the only store we used for our seafood and international/oriental shopping. Upon leaving, we immediately started a search for another market.This business demonstrated they do not deserve your loyalty or you hard earned money.
