Great tour with Terry! We took the Mile High Tour, which is 2 hours. Terry is a native of the area and showed us parts of Bisbee that the normal tourist would not know about. He told us stories of his family and their association with mining.

Great informative tour. We took Mile High tour which combines Historic Old Bisbee and Greater Bisbee Tour. Comprehensive, and we really got the feel for the place. Terry our guide was a fountain of knowledge, courteous, and really made the trip. Take this Tour! About 2 hours.

I will start off by saying I have been coming to Bisbee for a few decades (since I was a kid). I come more often as an adult now at least one and even two times per year. In all these years I have never taken the Lavender Jeep Tours before so this year myself and a group of friends decided to give it a go. I booked a tour for 5 adults about two months out with Barbara (the main lady who always answers the main line). Arrived for our tour the day of at 9:15am, 15 minutes before the tour start time of 9:30am. 9:30am rolls around and no one in sight to pick us up for our tour. I called the phone number and no answer so left a voice mail. My friend called and Barbara picked up and seemed shocked to hear we were waiting for our jeep. She advised my friend that she had been calling me for days to confirm our tour but couldn't get a hold of me. I got on the phone with her and she confirmed my phone number, but with the wrong area code, however when confirming my phone number with my friend had the right area code. Well, not surprised she couldn't get a hold of me!Barbara was and had always been very nice and kind. Just seemed like there was some organization and communication issues. She had a driver come right on over to pick us up and take us on our tour. We ended up about 30 minutes behind schedule. The driver arrived all disheveled and didn't seem to excited or happy to be present. Second problem arised when he tried to charge us $375 for the three adults (two girls didn't end up coming on the tour). I had confirmed the prices with Barbara over the phone on multiple occasions so I knew something wasn't right. Total was $80 per person ($50 for the Great Bisbee Tour and $30 for the Mexican Border Add-On), however they changed their pricing and it DOES NOT match what is online so be careful. Driver wasn't to happy about that and seemed to be upset with us ;/Now, about the tour itself. We took the Great Bisbee Tour with the Mexican Border Add-On. It was AMAZING (the tour), not the driver. I definitely recommend doing the Mexican Border Add-on, it is so cool and interesting to be right next to and literally footsteps from Mexico. In terms of the driver/tour guide, was type of tour guide that talked really super-fast and just wanted to get the tour moving along. We would ask questions and he would either cut us off, couldn't hear us or just didnt answer. Not a personable guy at all. I do not recall his name, but he had a super raspy voice and blondish short hair. We asked him only ONE time the entire two hours to take our picture in front of the jeep after we arrived back to the Copper Queen and he took our picture and left the jeep out. Needless to say we were bummed. Yes, we still tipped him nearly $20. SMH!PROS:Fun and Interesting TourMexican Border Add-On is a MUSTPrice you pay includes taxes and feesCONS:Drivers need to have a microphone or some type of system as most tour companies have.Carry some water for your customers (it was nearly 90 degrees out).Pricing is incorrect, get this updated.Booking needs to be easier, it should be done online instead of having to call Barbara. It would be nice and more convenient for customer to have booking system in place especially with how busy Bisbee can get and only 6 seats on each jeep with no set schedule for any of the tours. All In All, would I use this company again. Possibly, with a different driver. Also, if you have taken a Pink Jeep Tour or a Red Rock Western Jeep Tour before you will be disappointed. Lavender Jeep Tours is not even close to the same experience and they charge almost the same prices.

Since 1 star is the least you can give, I guess I have to go with that. The Lavender Jeep Company is unreliable, and their tour guides are rude. We were in Bisbee, our only day to sight see. Hard decision whether to do the mine tour, or the Lavender Jeep Tour. We decided on the Jeep Tour. At about 8:30 in the AM we made our reservation for an 11:00 tour. We had finished breakfast and were out walking around, looking in store windows, when we got a call from the woman with the Lavender Jeep tour, asking which tour we were booked on. We told her the 11:00. "Oh........ I may have over booked. Can you go at 12?" We told her that 12 would be tough for us, as we needed to get going as soon as the tour ended. We got 2 more calls within about the next 15 minutes....... with the same question, and same concern about over booking. Then one more call, at about 10:35, which informed us that they were definitely overbooked and we had been bumped. We were only about a block from the hotel where you were to meet for the tours, so we went on in.There, at the desk for the tours we found a befoozled older woman who seemed totally baffled as to who, what, and where people were supposed to be for the tour. Yes, after looking, she decided the tour was overbooked, and we could go at 12 if we wanted.I will admit, my man is nicer than me. He just said - Well, mistakes happen. I wasn't so carefree. Had we known, we could have taken the 10:30 mine tour and gotten that in, at least. My feeling is that, yes, mistakes happen. When they do, and it's your fault, offer a solution. Offer to let us go free at 12 for the inconvenience or SOMETHING. No solution was offered. So, instead, we walked down to the Golf Cart Tours down the street, and went on a tour with Dorothy. She was great. The tour was great, and cost us 1/3 of the Lavender Jeep Tours. While we were on our golf cart tour, the Lavender Jeep Tour (the same one we were supposed to go on) went by us a number of times. The drivers were arrogant and rude, and expected our driver to accommodate THEM every time they went by. They would come down the narrow streets dead in the middle, making us stop until they went by. Once, when there was a car parked, and they were coming our way, it would have been far easier for them to stop where they were, but instead they continued, making our driver back up so they could go by.If you are looking for a tour of Bisbee, save some money and go with the Golf Cart Tours. You will go once you are booked and probably have a MUCH better time!

Took the historic tour of the town with my family, 4 of us in total. There were enough seat belts for everyone. The tour guide, can't remember his name, was great and knowledgeable. He provided a nice historical lesson of the town. He went out of his way to accommodate us. We had no reservations. The office was closed when we arrived but when you call, he quickly made himself available for our time frame. He also went out of his way to show us the biggest and smallest house in the area.

We took the Mine & Border tour with Gary. What an amazing tour. Gary, being a longtime resident and writer of mining documentation provided us with a good understanding of the mines in and about Bisbee. Very impressive views from High Road and the Border Wall. Lots of opportunities to ask questions and get detailed answers.Do this tour!

The tour guide was good, he was knowledgeable about the city. It was cool to see the history of the city. However, we paid for a 90 minute tour. Our tour was supposed to start at 12:30 pm, but didn't start till around 12:45 and we were done at 2:00 pm.

We took this tour on a Saturday and selected the combined "Mile High" and "City" tours. The driver and his knowledge of the history was fantastic. We really enjoyed this tour and learned so much about the history that you would never of known without this type of drive by and see tour.
