It's unfortunate that I had a pretty sucky experience at La Zia just now. The woman at the cash register did not greet me after I witnessed her greeting two other customers. I walked around for at least 2-minutes before I had to ask her how much of the proceeds from purchases went to Native American communities. To be clear, she never asked me if I needed anything. In a short tone she explained that she did not know. That she knew that company did business with Native American communities, but not how much goes back to them. That was pretty alarming to me. La Zia is a business that market themselves as a having a strong partnership with Native American communities, but couldn't tell me how much of artists profit from sales. I specifically went to this business so that I could support Native American communities.I definitely do not want to take a jab at the entire business, but that wasn't a great experience for a tourist to have, especially because I witnessed the cashier treat two other customers with much more respect and service.

Last June,2022, I accompanied my husband on a business trip to Tucson. I visited La Zia Native Arts. I met Peter. He patiently helped me select several pieces of jewelry. He was informative and kind. I am back in Tucson. I made it a point to stop in to see Peter today. Once again he was a pleasure to talk to,and he stayed open a little later to allow me time to purchase a few more pieces of jewelry. The necklace I chose this time was a beautiful piece made by Peter himself. I purchased a striking bracelet as well. I will stop in to see Peter at La Zia every time I come to Tucson. I recommend stopping in this shop. Peter's customer service is second to none, and the selection is beautiful and reasonably priced.

Horrible custom service. Peter would not support a flawed silver chain I bought in January 2022. Do NOT spend your hard earned money. This store does not support the custom.

Bought a coffee mug 2/16/19 from them, got it home and it cracked when I added hot water to it.I live in the West Valley and cannot go back just to exchange it. They would not refund my money. I told them to warn people about their mugs that they are only good if they are going to be used as pencil holders.

Small shop with many consignment items. Nice to explore. There are other shops connected to this one that contain mostly used clothing, art, etc.

Last weekend while visiting family in Tucson we went down to 4th Ave and then to Old Town Artisans. We were impressed with the service we got from Susan at La Zia. She has a great selection of Native Art in her store and she knows what she's talking about. Even though we did not buy anything the first time we were there she was so nice to us. We went back later and bought something and we're pleased as punch with it.
