Great market with delicious, authentic Latin food. Everything from me from the butcher candies drinks they have it.Make sure to get some food from the hot food selection everything from burritos to tamales amazing tacos and different Mexican style soup Great location in the neighborhood very friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back and trying some more food.

La Vakita meat market The owners of the business are smart by offering multiple types of services for local working people who live in nearby rancheros and senior citizens at Tucson estates They have wonderful hot Arizona Mexican style food I had the street tacos and it was great. They cut and grilled the carne asada right while I was there. I also got some Mexican baked goods which were wonderful. They have other regular Mexican groceries. The employees gave nice friendly fast service and the steaks and other meat looked great behind the counter.

Service was terrible, I bought an overpriced can of enchilada sauce for $5.19 then she charged me another $0.90 in sales tax on a food item. I told her there should be no tax on a food item and she proceeded to stare at me blankly. Will never go here again and will discourage anyone else from doing so.

We live near this small market and are grateful for the convenience of picking up a few items and not needing to drive to Fry's for things like a tomato, cilantro, an onion etc. Yes, they are a bit expensive but they are a small business. We have always enjoyed their hot food especially their beef burritos with rice and beans. Have never bought their raw meats. We're glad they are here and near. Also, they are very friendly.

This is the only carnicera available to me at least in the area I live in. Sometimes it's so convenient to come and get food and head home. For some reason, a petite lady is always there and is so rude when I ask for extra sauce. I don't understand why it's such a nag to give me more when it doesn't come out of her pay check. Unfortunately, that makes me very uncomfortable and I will not be coming back.

The prices are ridiculously high, the quality is mediocre. If you want hormone pumped meat, this is the place to go. I bought some chicken breasts there once, and they were insanely GIGANTIC - chickens don't grow that big without being pumped full of growth hormones. I used to go there to buy their expensive milk because they are close by, and EVERY time the milk would go bad in a few days. Every time.

I hesitated to write this review but after multiple visits buying food from there I am compelled to share my experience. I bought ground beef and it was spoiled. Another time I bought tortillas and they were moldy. Their salsa is not appealing to to your taste buds whatsoever. Each time I called to get the issue corrected their is no one that speaks English. The cashier lady says she doesn't know English and hangs up on you. Then the guy in the meat department doesn't speak English and says the same Spanish words over and over. Lets mention this business is located right outside my retirement community where we all speak English. Several off my neighbors are fed up with this store and their disgusting ways

The food here isn't great, I was a little disappointed because they are very polite and kind but it can't take away from their food. Salsa tasted old so overall just wasn't a good experience. I would not recommend to eat here. But their store is quite nice and has a lot to purchase.

I just bought flour tortillas on Saturday, I didn't open package till Sunday ate one tortilla and today Monday I had to throw away they were covered in green spots. It is not the first time this has happened to me from this place. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THEM BEFORE YOU BUY THEM. IM NOT BUYING TORTILLAS HERE AGAIN.

Coincidentally the day that I visit the Tucson Estates location my soon visits the Green Valley location not sure if they're affiliated. Very pleased. Don't have a dinner plan this is the spot that will hit the spot! Food, baked goods "pan dulce", Mexican candy, your staples, produce etc. Good customer service. Clean and organized. Fresh.
