The pond at La Siesta. Beyond relaxing & serene! I already miss Ronald & Donald, the two ducks that live here & fight over the bullfrogs.

I camp. A lot!I'm not a big fan of campgrounds. I call that fancy camping. I'd rather pull off a SR or fire road somewhere and boondock in the woods. That being said, one of my absolute favorite places is La Siesta Campground. It's incomparable! It has all the creature comforts you could possibly desire and (I cannot stress this part enough) 5 star hospitality! Definitely a home away from home. It can be the most peaceful place, or an excellent meeting ground for friends; both old and new. Already have the next 2 trips here planned and there will always be many more!

This has been a favorite place for us to camp. If you're in the area for hunting or a quick weekend get away with the family. Part of the grounds has hookups and part is dry. It's remote and quiet at night, except for the friendly neighborhood donkey. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

This place probably will be five star when Steve completes his labor of love. We agree with all of the reviews already posted. He is providing an experience that is quite rare in this country of dumpy, dirty, poorly maintained and over-priced RV parks, we have been to literally hundreds of them. He actually is providing a spotless bathroom, nice sitting area, free coffee and nice pastries in the morning, and of course the charming authentic classic trailers for rent. And more. The vistas are stunning, lots of birds and wildlife as well. Go Steve!

Word to mouth? Well... Here is a written review... Surprised to find this place after a few days alone in the mountains. This campground has a few renovated RVs for rent and the ones visited are clean and in outstanding condition. Definitely a surprise to find such a place in Arivaca. Steve was welcoming and had a great (short) time at this place. Would definitely go back and rent that 1971 Airstream (if still there). The 30 ft long Spartan was stunning and another great option for staying there.

I agree with all of the reviews above, I arrived out of season but Steve greeted me after I pulled in. This place is in the sticks but attentive to all the real needs of an RV. I was truly amazed, shower was in a small shed but it all worked. I wasn't able to get any reception off my antenna but Steve did have Wi-Fi which did work and I was able to watch a little youtube videos after dark. 2 thumbs up and a great place to lay back and forget about all the life issues.

We stayed at this charming campground and had a wonderful time. Steve is attentive and his staff is delightful. The grounds are beautifully maintained with views to die for. Had a great time and there were events going on in the Arivaca community which made it even more fun than just a standard campground. There is a very nice and clean bath house and charming vintage trailers they rent out. You won't be disappointed in you stay.

Wonderful campground. If you are looking for a place off the beaten path, this is it! It was a great setting with views of the surrounding hills & mountains. Steve, the host is very friendly & accommodating- he creates a community environment where you feel comfortable taking to anyone from long-term campers, to hunters, to people just staying a few nights to enjoy the peaceful area. It is not a resort- so may be considered rustic to some, but the charm of the location more then makes up for it. I stayed here for 6 weeks in an RV/ a motorcycle in tow. Took numerous beautiful rides - there's lots to see within a few hours of winding roads

Our trip to La Siesta was supposed to be for a few days until we learned about the Vintage Trailer show so we stayed for 2 weeks. This campground was very nice and Steve(the owner) made sure our stay was incredible. We really enjoyed our time here and the hospitality was wonderful. If you are in the area, we definitely recommend this campground. The small city was very welcoming as well!
