We wanted a dog friendly place for the two of us and our small dog. The difference between the hotel we stayed at in Sedona and this , for about the same price, is night and day. The hotel is older and has quite a bit of deferred maintenance. The property is in need of updates, badly. The drain plug was missing in the bathroom sink. The ceiling over the bathtub was cracked & needed repair. The drape pull on the darkening drapes was missing. They should remove carpet from the pet rooms. I understand them wanting to limit Covid exposure by reducing the number of people in and out of the room as the reason for cleaning rooms only once every 4 days but I did t like it. We had lots of trash because we ate in our room for most meals because we did not want to go out to a restaurant during Covid. I would have liked my linen changed every other day but four days is the rule, even if you request it. They did bring fresh towels and picked up the trash if you requested it. Would have been happy to take out our own trash but the dumpsters we not readily apparent. Good Covid controls for the pool facilities requiring wrist bands and signing a liability waiver. Monitoring of capacity "Breakfast" was sugary kid's cereals and the coffee was terrible. Bagels & coffee around the corner, 5 min walk. The room was very quiet in spite of being in the pet area. Very nice. The lobby area is very nice but isn't reflective of what your room will be like.

Never Again! Think twice before staying here! Instead of writing out an essay of a review I'll make it simple with some bullet points. What I liked...Nice welcoming lobby:Easy to find:Close to food and stores etc:Surrounding neighborhood seemed clean and safe:Overall staff was nice:Free breakfast was pretty good:Good air conditioning in room:Comfortable beds in room:Lots of hot water for showers:What I didn't like...One small and extremely slow elevator:Dirty smelly carpets in the hallway:Shower curtain about to fall off:Toilet seat needs to be replaced:Mold in the bathroom bathtub area:Chipped paint in the room:Horrible pressure to flush toilet:Dresser drawers didn't stay closed:Curtains didn't close properly:Two days in a row with no housekeeping service:Never got any coffee cups but had lids: Management was supposed to get back to us next day and didn't about our complaints:I will never return nor would I ever recommend staying here.

The stay was very accommodating. Rooms were clean, no noise complaints. Breakfast was yummy with a full on spread waffles, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausage, cereal, instant oats, bagels, yogurt, fruit, juice bar, coffee station and tea bar, there was a lot to choose from. The staff were friendly especially Robert who was cool upon arrival checking us in. Was able to do a late check out due to homeschooling kids so this was a plus plus stay. They are pet friendly and were able to accommodate our service dog without any issues. Would definitely recommend if in Tucson.

Incredibly underwhelming stay. The lobby is nice, the breakfast options are good, and that's about where the positives end. When I arrived there were several people who appeared unhoused wandering around, and eventually I understood they were staying in the hotel. Fine, but shopping carts and people loitering in the lobby area wasnt what I expected. The room was unimpressive. It smelled old and outdated. The carpeting was disgusting. The bed was so uncomfortable that I hardly slept the whole weekend. Several friends were also staying there, and at least one moved to the Doubletree down the street. Would never stay again. Not worth it when there's a much nicer option for only a few dollars more two blocks away.

This a a top-quality, moderate-priced hotel. Superb full buffet breakfast, great location east of the university (far from the hub-ub, but not too far out), very helpful staff and management. We had a minor issue with the hot water faucet in our bathroom, the management jumped right on it and got it resolved asap.Stay at La Quinta !

The entrance was beautiful, when we went up to the room all I could say was it smelt strange. This was I. The elevator and then in the hall way. Bedroom had a hit of the smell until we kicked the ac on. Water pressure wasn't the best in the shower and if you went to fill the bath up it took about 35 minutes. Clerk at the desk was nice when we checked in, once they changed clerks the second one seemed a little bit unhappy. She had people who were from Europe and she seemed a bit upset because they rather use cash and not their card. It's a good location for Reid park and if you want a good place to eat Locale neighborhood Italian is right across from it. Myself and my other half won't be going back unfortunately because the smell.

Really quite horrible hotel. Dirty--the hallways had layers of dust and dirt on railings, our room smelled like someone had vomited in it. Food for the free breakfast was gone 45 minutes before the end of breakfast every day (also, no silverware). No staff visible; I got a rag to wash the tables myself because they were so sticky we couldn't sit there. We were there 4 nights. The only way we tolerated the room's odor was to keep the AC on high (although it was February). Another person commented on "deferred maintenance," but I think that was being kind. Quite run down. Elevator was broken the first day were were there, and yes, we were on an upper floor. Will certain never stay there again.

Should be a 1 star maybe even 0, however, the entry was nice updated & clean, breakfast did have many options. The sales manager also moved us to a new room in the main building. When we arrived the first room was in building B, there was mild in The bathroom that was painted over and coming through, room smelled horrible ( probably because of the mold) curtain sheers had ewww yuck stuff on them, carpet was so dirty we wouldn't take our shoes off. The shower also had mold and paint peeling g off the tub & faucet didn't even fit properly. One we were moved the room still smelled but not as bad as the first room. The chair in the Was so stained & just dirty would sit or put anything on it.When we checked out we not had headaches & a cough. This place needs a complete overhaul to be considered passable. There were several kid's soccer teams there this weekend hopefully none of them got sick.

This was the second La Quinta hotel we checked into because the first one was disgusting and the staff was god awful. The lobby was nice, the front desk lady was nice and very helpful. Everything was great, until we went to bed....as we were getting ready for bed we saw a bug that looked like a cockroach but wasn't. When you go to smack them with a shoe they jump! That was not the only bug we saw, I killed 15-20 bugs from 10pm-4am! There were big ones and also teeny tiny ones, almost seemed as if they had babies somewhere in the room!! We woke up, ate breakfast which was good and checked out immediately. Will not be staying at anymore La Quintas! That was the last straw.
