La Petite Academy on N. Thornydale Rd

***Update*** Though it has been many months since my daughter was attacked repeatedly at this "school" (please read previous posts), she still has scars on her face. They are fading but I cannot say the same for how upset I am at myself for ever enrolling her here. Save your self-respect and go elsewhere.

I worked here for one month as summer employment and I honestly would not work here any longer. My grievances include being disorganized, they say one thing and do another, do not adequately discipline children and do not enforce teachers disciplining children, there is no set structure for students, and they take forever to get payroll started and will not tell you your hourly wage. There were several days I worked over 7 hours and received no breaks. I do not wish to spend my time there.

I love La Petite. I have been bringing y son here for 3 years and enrolled my 1 year old when he was born. both boys are loved and cared for. they are safe and I have confidence that they are well while I'm working. The teachers really care and help them learn and grow. I also love the app that they have so I can check in on my kids throughout the day.

My child went here for about 6 weeks. He was bitten numerous times, came home everyday drinking 16 ounces of water, had a trip to the ER because of dehydration (a "teacher" told me they limit the kids water intake so they only have to change diapers every few hours). I picked him up and he was eating food off the floor. Staff is rude and condescending. There is a HUGE lack of communication going on between the staff. I though this place looked nice but I guess once the doors are closed all they worry about is their dime and not my child's well being.

I see some bad reviews on here which is mind blowing so I will leave one. I've always been paranoid of who to trust my little with. My daughter was almost 3 months old when I enrolled her in lapetite that was in early September 2015. My daughter is now 3. My daughter has been most conftorbale and close with all of her teachers. At 9 months old she was almost walking and finally did at 10 months. At 1 years old she learned sign language and started learning her words. She was on excellent sleep schedules and feeding times. She had a couple incidents with other children as they are young and learning to share and learn discipline. After she was 2 she was learning how to color in lines tell her colors and count to 10. Shes 3 now and knows numbers and letters and has a homework book they work closely with early preschool. I'm a fulltime worker so my daughter is fulltime. She always tells me about her teachers and all her friends always happy and smiling when I pick her up and looks forward to going to school the next day. This place has saved my life! I trust them. My daughters family here. It is expensive especially when you dont get any discounts or state benefits but it's well worth the quality of the care here. I would never go anywhere else! So if your looking into care definitely get to know the staff and office personnel they work around the clock to make our kids conftorbale and keep u updated everyday on anything going on or upcoming curriculum! Exellent in welcoming families and introducing childcare and what the center offers. On our tour my child showed his interest in the school.

I can not stress enough how absolutely horrid this place is. DIRTY, loud, and disorganized are just a few of the negative words that I would use to describe this child mill. A pathetic excuse for a school, who's obvious concerns are money. I had a family members child enrolled for a very short amount of time before I suggested to my family that they dis-enrolled. The management is trashy. Very rude. Extremely unprofessional and seem to have zero to little experience in what they are getting paid to do. In the short time I spent there, I had overheard inappropriate conversations going on between teachers and also with management. Use of profanity didn't seem to be a concern and was thrown around very loosely. If you are looking for a safe place for your child to learn at, la petite academy is NOT the place to be. Extremely expensive. Seemed to me that children were thrown around from room to room all day. One of the teachers even told me that their main concern at that place as a teacher, was to make sure the children weren't hurting one another because there are so many kids in a class at a time.
