La Mariposa is the best!My wife and I got married here in October. The outdoor views were super picturesque. Steve the owner made sure that our ceremony flowed perfectly. The food was amazing, the reception was a blast, and John the DJ kept the dancefloor packed. All of the staff were very professional and accommodating. Definitely an experience worthy of 5 stars!

La Mariposa was the most absolutely stunning and professional place to hold our wedding. Amanda and Johnny were extremely professional amongst the entire process, answered all of our questions, and worked hard to ensure that we had the most amazing day. We were so lucky to have our wedding here and had so many compliments from our guests. Thank you to everyone involved in helping our dreams come true!

Our wedding at La Mariposa was a dream come true! The venue is absolutely stunning. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the venue's beauty, and we're incredibly grateful for the unforgettable memories made there. John and Amanda were also wonderful to work with and made the day of stress-free for me (the bride!), which is a huge deal.

Our son & daughter in law recently were married at La Mariposa. Magical memories were made as they celebrated their special day with family & friends. The setting is breathtaking with the gorgeous Mountain View's. We experienced several issues, two of the most frustrating & upsetting were that our guests were told they could only take two tacos at the buffet line. This was announced by the DJ and repeated at the buffet line. We should have been advised that this would be announced, we would have never agreed to this. This was very embarrassing! The other huge issue was that Amanda, the wedding coordinator's day off was on the day of the wedding. The bride & groom weren't advised until they arrived on their wedding day! Such a disappointment! Regardless, the bride & groom will always treasure their beautiful wedding day! John the DJ, our bartender & wait staff were most helpful & professional. I'm hoping this review will be helpful others when planning their event.

Attended a wedding at this gorgeous facility this past Friday. The outdoor ceremony area was hidden within some spectacular tall shady trees (that were home to a pair of Cooper's hawks), a lush rolling grass lawn, a pond that had some adorable ducklings and an outdoor gathering space with a large fireplace. After the ceremony we were treated to a cocktail hour that had the most delicious appetizers offered by friendly and professional waitstaff. We sampled bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms , and a fiesta chicken wrap. All were delish! The bartenders were all so friendly and accommodating. The inside seating reception area was decorated stylishly for the occasion and comfortably seated the 125 or so guests. Our plated dinner choices were Mahi Mahi with a lemon cream sauce or a beef tenderloin with mushroom gravy. Both were tender and flavorful and served with rolls, herb rough-mashed potatoes and buttery roasted broccoli rabe. The dessert bar had a selection of brownies, lemon bars, crème brûlée, and cheesecake. All were tasty. All the guests seemed to be very impressed with this venue and had a wonderful time. Shout out to Steve and Francesca for creating such a wonderful place for important celebrations of all kinds. You ROCKED it!!!

My wife and I chose this venue after speaking with the owner, DJ, and other staff members. They spoke to us and welcomed us as if we were family and made our overall experience one we will never forget. The resort grounds are tucked away from any nearby residences which added for a more intimate feel, and the grounds were very nicely tended to. We looked at several venues before stumbling upon La Mariposa but I couldn't be more happy with the price and location of this place. They even said that we didn't even need a wedding planner because they handled everything the day before and the day of. If you're looking to get married at a beautiful venue for a good price, THIS IS THE PLACE!

My husband and I were married at the La Mariposa Resort. It was definitely everything imagined. A day that we'll always remember and deeply cherish.Working with Cynthia and John is easy and they are very accommodating to ones wishes. It felt more than just a consultation, we connected. It made all the difference and the experience even more spectacular. Their entire team is friendly and helpful. They worked with me on details, answered every question and never minded that I showed up to plan things out leading up to event. They even made changes the day before and some minor additions the day of wedding. For those that know me, this is a big deal for me to be able to set the ambiance. The space at La Mariposa is spacious, beautiful trees, plenty greenery, the pond, fountains, and more, make La Mariposa the place for every special event. We had an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception and it was perfect. John, also the DJ put together all the music selected for the ceremony and executed flawlessly. No hiccups, as this was a concern for me and I'm sure for anyone putting a wedding together. Our. family and friends are still talking about our ceremony and setting at venue. These compliments are a reminder that we had picked the right venue. I definitely could go on about this place but I will allow photos to share to the memories that were created at La Mariposa. The difference between a five star and a three star review. All comes down to the owner Steve. His "I have 30 years doing this attitude" brought down our experience. He might even be a little delusional, thinking that I gave him a hug and thanked him the following day. Something that never happened, I never returned to the venue after the wedding. We also did not appreciate him taking photos of our private event for his own use. He should've at least asked before doing so. The wedding did have many pluses and would like to give positive remarks to Amanda and Dj John for their hard work and help planning. However, we didn't expect our main planner Amanda NOT to be at the wedding. Which we didn't find out until hours before the wedding. ( Due to this there were a number of things that we didn't have at the wedding). Which forced us to have to work with an unprepared Steve. I get our wedding was just another paycheck for you, but have some more RESPECT for your clients. Not that this will change anything for him, due to the fact he is the owner and manager. I just hope that people will think twice before choosing this venue. The property is very lovely, but our family and friends truly made our day magical.

John was such an amazing dj! he went above and beyond to make my Wife and I's day extra special, stepping in and helping keep things organized and treating us like family. Any request we made he was right there to help. The only drawback is that the music was loud at times. Overall everything was very well done and I highly recommend!

Our family held a Celebration of Life gathering for my father at La Mariposa. From our first meeting with Amanda to the conclusion of our event, the staff was EXCELLENT. The staff was attentive and helped us with every last detail, to ensure our celebration for my father was perfect. If you are looking to book an event, we would highly recommend contacting Steve or Amanda.
