This restaurant has been serving incredible food since the year I was born in 1983. We got there right when they opened at 5pm and it was packed within 10 minutes. Amazing community support for a long-time locally owned spot!We ordered the horchata, a cheese quesadilla, Indian tacos, and the beef burro with sides of rice and beans. Everything was perfectly cooked. It was our first time trying the Indian tacos and it will definitely not be the last. We sat inside the cozy space, but the outdoor patio is so spacious and welcoming. We can't wait to go back in the spring to enjoy the weather!

Food. Combo plates prices are way too high for the amount of food they give you as we saw others plates before going to the restroom .ALSO : Too many health code violations and we usually judge the restaurant by going to see what their restrooms look like, went inside ladies room was smelling horrible dint know when the last time it was cleaned and TP all over the floors and commodes not flushed. Not our choice of environment to be in and especially EAT AT. We IMMEDIATELY LEFT COULDN'T EAT HERE. That's our OPINION !

Absolutely love this long time family owned and strong running business. Wow. It's amazing to hear the stories from people who are adults now and how they as children would enjoy this families food. Wonderful and bright service. Delicious and authentic native/Mexican food. Beautiful patio and indoor space. Truly a local community treasure.

I've always driven by this restaurant and wondered was it was. The parking lot is always so packed. And I'm so glad I finally went to check it out. It's so yummy! This place is so cute. I love sitting on patio when the weather is perfect. Service is quick and attentive. The food is sooo good and doesn't take too long. Sometimes there is live music outside. I ordered the chalupas and my boyfriend got carne seca burro. Was soooooo good!

La indita is right off Stone, the parking is in the back of the building with access from the front and back of the building which is nice! We opted to sit outside and had great service with chips, salsa and water immediately on our table. The salsa was on the runnier side with the perfect kick of heat. Chips seem to be made in house and delicious. My husband got a chicken tamale with red sauce and the rice and beans. The tamale was sooo good! The red sauce was interesting there was a lot of oregano which gave it more of a pizza sauce type of flavor which other reviews have mentioned which I definitely understand now. I had the green chicken enchiladas which had the same type of beans and rice. The meat was almost dry but not bad, the tortillas definitely seemed to be made in house. The green sauce was not what I've had from other Tucson restaurants definitely set them apart from other places but isn't what I was expecting flavor wise. Overall the sauces didn't match the dishes to me. The red sauce was very oregano and gave it a pizza flavor, the chicken in the enchiladas wasn't the best. Service was great! Would come back to try some other dishes.

If you're looking for authentic Sonoran-style food, look no further! It's a blend of authentic Mexican and Native American cuisine. This is a local family-owned restaurant serving family recipes. One of the lovely owners came in while we were dining. She's in her 90's now, and originally started her business well over 30 years ago. She still makes the tamales here to this day. AMAZING!I discovered this on the last day of our week long stay in Tucson, but if I found this place sooner, I would've eaten here every single day!The highlight for me was the Indian Taco. It's not an ordinary taco. Instead, it's an open face puffy fried flatbread, commonly known as Indian fry bread. I look for Indian fry bread every time I'm in Texas and Arizona. This definitely ranks as one of the best. It's covered with beans, beef and red Chile (Tohoro O' Odaham style, from the Native American tribe originally from the Sonoran dessert).I was so obsessed with their Indian fry bread that I also got a got dessert, which was the fry bread topped with honey with cinnamon sugar on the side (Can't recall the name. Maybe popover? It's very similar to a sopapilla). The chips are the perfect thickness. Not too thin, but just thick enough to hold up to scooping up beans, etc. Very friendly and helpful service.

I gave them 5 stars so I can feel to share my opinionI got mine to go, service was impeccable, friendly. The packaging was very nice, as wellOne item I ordered was the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. The amount of green sauce was nothing like in the picture. There was no sauce surrounding the enchiladas, just confined to the top. Perhaps there is a need to go light on to-go orders? Probably not, but if that's the case they could offer green sauce in a small container. Anyway, I think most of us like more sauce than was in my order I was also surprised how light it was on the beans and rice, especially the rice. Rice is cheap, and beans are fairly cheap, too, so I did not understand why it was so light on these, especially since it's not an inexpensive dish. Also less than the menu pic. They gave a ton of chips, most of which I threw away. I would have preferred to have had more food on my plate and no chips at all.

I was honestly surprised how much I loved the mole here, it was excellent! The flavor was that deep blend of spice that lingers as you eat it. I would have enjoyed just a bowl of this. The tortilla it came with could only have been homemade right before. The perfect meal paired with one of their Jamaica drinks. The service was quick and efficient and the outdoor patio was quite enjoyable. Will be returning!!

Moved here from Brooklyn, have tried a lot of spots here, most of it being very meh. La Indita was great. My vegetarian wife got the chiles rellenos, which she loved. I got a few enchiladas (one mole, one verde) was delicious. The chips and salsa were great. Margarita - delicious. Service was great.Love the casual, low brow vibe of the interior. This place is great. We look forward to checking it out for brunch! Thanks you La Indita!
