My son hasn't gotten much help since being a la frontera patient and he's been out of his medication for the second time! Can't get a hold of anyone to talk about refilling his meds. This has been very frustrating with this company.

Medications did not help made me feel very uncomfortable. Forced to keep them without any say until court ordered end. Three months of misery and discomfort know one can imagine how I felt for those months. Could not even sit. Comfortability out the window.

My adult son suffers from an Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD & learning disabilities. After my son's previous psychiatrist passed away, our family dr referred us here.Unfortunately, they don't take Blue Cross, but he has Medicaid as a secondary. If you're used to having insurance coverage & a private practice, this might not be the place for you as sometimes it's a rough looking crowd to be seated w/.At 1st mtg w/Dr. Diez de Pinos,I didn't like him but said as long as son is happy & needs are being met,we can continue w/him.I don't normally go into appointments except for the psychiatrist.Dr was new so I wanted to be sure he had an accurate history & to get feel for him.My son has been on same meds w/very few changes for 12 yrs.He is in 4th yr of college & doing as well as can be expected.1 thing I didn't like is feeling he didn't believe things I said & possibly considered me ignorant. For example,he didn't seem to believe my son's primary insurance only allowed prescriptions from 1 location of CVS.I welcomed a to call to insurance to confirm.I decided we would see how the next appt went before making a decision to try another dr.April appointment was better.May appointment is when all hell broke loose. At each appt, dr was informed my son would be studying abroad over the summer & needed 60 days of 2 controlled substances. In April, he had us speak w/a caseworker. She wasn't sure why we were speaking w/ her,nor were we but I mentioned maybe an approval was needed for 2 mos of controlled substance. If he was unaware of process,he should've looked into it or made it clear he was expecting caseworker to.In the meantime, I called insurance & left a message w/receptionist & was also told the insurance company did so.I called insurance again on 5/20 and 5/21 to review approval process. On 5/21, I left a vm for Sabrina, caseworker, because I was not permitted to leave one for dr.I explained we had an appt on Thurs & needed to ensure dr was able to write prescriptions.I never heard fm Sabrina & it appears the dr didn't either. We arrived @ appt & it was suggested my son change a med due to high hemoglobin level.I said I wasn't comfortable because he's leaving in 1 wk for trip & he agreed.I'd also like to get blood work redone before a decision is made to change a med he's been on 12 years. Llast time we decreased, it was a scaryWe begin discussing other meds & how we need 60 day prescriptions & he says he can't do it. I ask why I wasn't informed, why he had me speak w/caseworker & remind him of the calls and messages to he and the caseworker. His response was he told me it would be difficult. Then, he says he "thinks" there are state & DEA regulations against it & a nurse he takes us to agrees but says she'll check into it.I informed them I'd spoken w/insurance & thought they were incorrect. While she's checking,I called pharmacy & had my son request paperwork for records transfer to new dr.Eventually, he says he can prescribe the meds but sent it in incorrectly. I asked for 2 30 day prescriptions, informed he & nurse I was told to fill 1 then next day to fill other as vacation refill.I had to hear from pharmacy & call back to have it corrected. Now, I have to return to office for hard copy.My issue is if he hadn't been in situation before don't assume to know answer, check into matter, & be prepared. He seemed appalled I was upset.I am unsure why he thought I wouldn't be upset with my son leaving & stress preparing for trip only to have another stressful situation added. Not only did this upset me but he didn't wait until I was far enough away to say,"What did she expect me to do?"Sir, I expect you to do your job and know your limitations of knowledge enough to research or ask for help when you are not 100% sure.My other complaint is still haven't met caseworker & vm says she returns calls within 48 hrs but has never done so.After 1st visit,I called to find out about other services & left vm,then called supervisor a wk later.Another wk passes,I call back & she has no idea I spoke w/supervisor.We have yet to receive calls regarding referrals to groups after 2 mos.I reported incidents to person handling supervision of drs,Randy, & to clinical supervisor,Leslie. Both were polite.Leslie handled follow up & is looking for another dr.She called back promptly & answered ph when I called. She is an asset.I hope Dr. D learned from experience & is prepared when other patients have similar requests. If you decide to use services,be prepared for lack of communication & understand addl services aren't a benefit if you can't use them.Either more staff should be hired, staff needs better trained or to have adequate skills to prioritize & be organized or stop taking on clients if the workload can't be handled.

This place is a joke I was only allowed four months of theapy and I called to see if they could extend my sessions as I am having to go in for surgery on December 27th to see if there are any cancer cells on my curvix . I no longer have a Theapist case had been closed till February however, I have a case manager WTF . I will gladly save work my ass off to go see a private theapist. They don't give a dam about people all you are to them is simply a number . To my theapist for wasting my time with you . Music did more for me then the past six months dealing with your bullshit.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemies. I went there to be able to get my medications needed for my mood disorder from a psychiatrist. I got Erich Bruschette who I would say got his degree off of google probably not even that because he told me to stop a medicine cold turkey that shouldn't have been and an antidepressant which I cannot take since I have a mood disorder. I ended up in the hospital today because of the reaction of the antidepressants to my mood. The doctor I saw there told me stopping that medicine cold turkey could've caused me to have a seizure and everything I was told was incorrect. I gladly got hooked up with a new private psychiatrist but at this rate I was willing to be hundreds of dollars rather than coming here.
