I lived in La Aldea for 3 years when I went to law school at U of A. Now I am in the real world and realize La Aldea is perhaps my best, happiest apartment living experience. My current apartment management is fine, but pales considerably in comparison to La Aldea.Pros: 1) Convenient location. It's on campus (I walked to law school every day), across the street from Park Student Union (opens until AM now! Wow, it didn't open that late when I was there...), and close to University Ave where the bars, restaurants, and stores are located2) Speedy repair. Maintenance request usually answered within a day or two. The crew is amazing.3) Great social life. There are weekly and monthly events organized by the amazing Amanda and a team of awesome community resident assistants, including Friday Happy Hours and various themed events. I went on subsidized trips to Kitt Peak and other Tucson spots and got cheap tickets to see lots of shows, including Wicked.4) Quiet, mature, and (very) studious neighbors. It was easy to make friends.5) Safe, gated community.Cons:1) It is more expensive than the off-campus housing alternatives. But utilities are all included in the rent. The bottom line: La Aldea has a very hard-working team dedicated to making residents happy and things convenient. I hope all apartments are like La Aldea!

Constant construction on the building, lots of noise, the community events are ridiculous and not worth going to. The rent is high, compared with other graduates that are living near the same area. The building is right next to Tyndall garage, which means you hear all the noises from the garage, car alarms, fire alarms, engines, you can even hear people talking (even though you are in your building in your room). The pros are the utilities are included, you are walking distance to anything on campus (not stores), and there is a security gate to prevent anybody from entering. Negatives lots of noise, lots of construction on the building (it has been going on for at least a year now), and high rent. Look around before signing a contract
