Krikawa Custom Jewelers

We are based in San Francisco, but travel out to Arizona monthly. We were struggling with finding a jeweler in the Bay Area that reflected our particular design esthetic. I knew that Tucson's gemstone game was strong so we found Krikawa through Yelp and were impressed by their designs online.We conducted all of our consultations with our design consultant, Sandrine, in person. They did a great job with shepherding us through the process and I ended up with the engagement ring of my dreams!

Just received our one-of-a-kind, custom rings from Krikawa Jewelers! We're absolutely in love with the intricate pattern of the Mokume-Gane ("wood grain metal" in Japanese), made with a labor intensive technique of forging and folding layers of precious metals.Krikawa designs the majority of their custom rings remotely, so we communicated exclusively over text and email. They were highly responsive, often replying within an hour during normal business hours. They made us feel completely confident in their process, going as far as mailing us a fool-proof ring sizing kit with handmade metal rings we could wear over several days to account for shifting ring sizes. They also shipped us samples of their different Mokume metal styles/colors so we could see the stunning patterns in-person.My personal design consultant at Krikawa (Sandrine) was wonderful to work with every step of the way, and offered helpful suggestions that enhanced the final design. For example, I originally wanted to go with yellow gold for my ring, but Sandrine recommended white gold instead to pair better with my ice blue sapphire. She also answered all my questions with clarity and professionalism and nudged me in the direction of a gorgeous final product.Production time was speedy once we approved the final sketch; the 3D CAD Model took ~2 weeks, and the rings were completed ~6 weeks after CAD approval.You will pay a premium for expertise and quality, but the phenomenal results are well worth it. Our rings arrived carefully packaged in separate wooden boxes and fit our fingers perfectly, built to exacting standards. We marveled at the beauty and craftsmanship of our matching wedding rings for a good while when we first saw them! I highly recommend Krikawa for all your custom wedding ring needs, especially if you're attracted to Mokume-Gane since it's one of their specialties. I had a super smooth experience with them and couldn't be happier with the result!

The team at Krikawa is fantastic. They made a special wedding band for us that had all of the birthstones of our children in it (blended family). Also did a great job on repair of a favorite ring of mine. Their custom work is outstanding and the customer service is the best. I would not shop anywhere else or having any repairs done anywhere else.Simply the best....

I needed to get my rings resized and Krikawa did a wonderful job. Everyone there is extremely helpful and nice to work with. They gave me a couple of simple bands in slightly different sizes so I could try them throughout the day and overnight to make sure I picked the right size. That approach worked so well! My rings now fit perfectly. I didn't buy any of their jewelry but did get to look at some different items and their jewelry is gorgeous. Can't wait to go back and buy something. In addition to sizing and cleaning my rings they also cleaned a necklace for me so everything is clean and sparkles again. Thank you Krikawa.

I fell in love with these Piaget rose bud earrings but the price was ridiculous so I did some googling to see if I could find something similar and found Krikawa's website. Their medium rose buds earrings was gorgeous. I had to have them! I was also glad they custom every aspect of it so if I wanted, I could use the different type of gold or gemstone or diamond. I had asked for la pousette/protektor posts and backing and they easily accommodated my request. I was wary about ordering custom made earrings online from a vendor so far away but I've seen Krikawa's name on some wedding and jewelry forums before and felt they were reputable. The process was incredibly easy and there was also quick response. I made a deposit through PayPal and they gave me a time frame for when the earrings would be complete. The quoted time frame was very spot on. I got an email a few days before and completed the purchase via credit card and the earrings were overnighted to me. The packaging of the FedEx box was secure so no chance of anything fall out. The earrings itself was in a very pretty, heavy jewelry box within a chiffon bag. They didn't skimp on packaging. The earrings themselves were just as they were on the photos online - very beautiful! The diamonds were sparkly and eye clean. (I've seen some cloudy and poor quality diamond accents before so this was a pleasant surprise.) Overall, I'm incredibly happy and would buy from them again.

I am so glad that I was recommended Krikawa by a friend, even though they are based in a completely different state. Early on, I was shopping around jewelers, and I was mostly leaning towards working with a local jeweler for the ease of meeting in person. However, from early discussions with Nicole, who ended up being our designers, they made me feel that:1) Krikawa has an eye for details. They made several practical recommendations for ensuring the longevity of the finished ring (not going below 2 mm width for the band to ensure no warping, adding a bearing to the prongs to further secure the stone, matching the index of refraction in the side stones) that other jewelers that I didn't hear mentioned at other jewelers (of course, a little biased here since I worked longer with Nicole).2) Krikawa made me feel that they cared about my process, even if I didn't select them. When I told them that I was still considering other local jewelers, they advised me on what to look for with their methods to ensure quality. I also had somewhat of a more limited budget, and Nicole sometimes made suggestions that would result in Krikawa making less money. I appreciated their honesty throughout the process.And of course, finally, the ring that we received was absolutely stunning. Nicole said that she wanted to design a ring for us that my partner would "fall in love with each and every day she wears it" and so far, it is an absolute winner! I know that we were not the easiest customers to work with as well- we agonized over every customizable detail of the ring, looking to nail down the exact perfect color scheme. This led us to walk around in circles for a month trying out all the different combinations of colors available- and we likely drove Nicole insane internally. But she never let that show throughout our emails with each other!One thing I will note for those people considering ordering a ring online- it is difficult to know exactly how the ring is going to look, no matter how many different pictures are taken of the stone and side stones, in different lightings. But with that said, we put our full faith in the designer crew at Krikawa, and they absolutely delivered something that we love. 100% would recommend to anyone else considering this company, even if you are from across the country!

I was nervous about ordering online, having it shipped to the east coast, what if something went wrong? I read so many positive reviews, several that mentioned what a great turn around they received when there was an issue. Unfortunately for us there was a problem when we first received the ring; We had to send it back to be reworked. However, I can't say enough good things about what an incredible job they did making it right and quickly. There was no hassle, no haggling, they immediately owned up to the error before we even started to explain it. I don't know that I've ever received better customer service during a problem as I did from Krikawa. My fiancée and I are extremely happy with the ring and would absolutely recommend them, and order from them again ourselves.

We began working with Krikawa in 2019, however due to the pandemic the proposal did not occur until late April 2022. It didn't seem right to post our review until after we had both seen the ring, hence the lengthy delay. We are ECSTATIC to finally be able to give an in-depth description of our experience with Kirkawa because they were fantastic! Sandrine was the team member that shepherded us through the ring design process, using her knowledge to refine our vision. After a couple of iterations and modifications, she had their graphic designer render an image that we were able to check and adjust until it looked perfect for us. It was an extensive process to locate stones that were the appropriate size and that also fit within our budget, but Sandrine worked tirelessly for months until she found exactly what we needed. This meant so much to me as a disabled veteran because we were truly able to get our dream ring for a price that we could afford. The center stone of my ring is an oval light-yellow diamond and Sandrine had Lisa, the founder and CEO, consult with me. Lisa wanted to ensure that we were using the right materials in the right places to enhance the center stone compared to the two pear-shaped stones on the sides that are colorless (white) diamonds. When deciding the color of the center stone's basket Lisa was originally unsure if my suggestions were correct, but she did a video call with me and physically modeled every example herself so that my yellow diamond shined perfectly. Lisa shared her expertise and ultimately agreed with my early choice; this speaks a lot to her character because it is easy to imagine that a CEO could be ego-driven, but Lisa possesses unbridled kindness and humility. Lisa and the entire design team at Krikawa are dedicated to doing what is necessary and taking the time to make the ring of YOUR dreams a reality. The payment/invoicing process was simple and hassle-free. We received our ring in April of 2020 during the early Los Angeles lockdown period. Proposal plans fell through repeatedly, but we were in no hurry and wanted to make sure that it was a proposal that wasn't compromised due to the circumstances of the pandemic, and instead was something we will glow about each time we recount it for years to come. And it was. Seeing the ring for the very first time was incredible; it is GORGEOUS and looks almost exactly like the rendered image. We would like to extend our gratitude to Sandrine, who spent more hours on the phone with me during the pandemic than I did with my own sister. We fully endorse Krikawa and will be contacting them soon about designing the wedding band!

Krikawa greatly exceeded my, as well as my fiancé's, expectations. His journey band and my enhancer came out remarkably well. Every employee we met was professional, friendly, and helpful.
