Kiss Of Smoke BBQ

This place is unassuming. Off the beaten path, you turn off the road and park right out front of the rectangular building that shares the space with a bar. We came here for the rating and are glad we did. We have an autistic little who is especially picky about his Mac 'n' Cheese, so finding a place in Tucson that has Mac, but also something mom and dad can enjoy proved to be more challenging than we expected. For $8, they have a "wood chip" plate which is a kids plate with a meat and a side, so we got him chicken and Mac. For us, we both got the $11 "Katie's Choice" plate with pulled pork and loaded cheesy mash (mashed potatoes with shredded cheese on top). Our son LOVED the Mac 'n' Cheese, and ate a few bites of chicken. My husband and I both really enjoyed the pulled pork and the loaded cheesy mash. We got the original sauce which was sweet, peppery, and still a little spicy. My only concern is that they serve all food in styrofoam containers even if you're eating here. Styrofoam is terrible for the environment. If there were plates if you're eating in, ot would be even better.

I definitely understand why people love this place. I door dashed the 2 meat and 2 sides plate. It's $16.20 on DoorDash so I'm sure it's slightly less in store. I got brisket as both meats bc I love brisket. It was bomb. A little salty. They gave me bbq sauce and that was good. Not great. Maybe a little too Smokey and too sweet. However not a deal breaker.My sides were chipotle coleslaw and fried okra. The slaw was so so good. Very yummy and I was pleasantly surprised. The okra was okay. It came with ranch which turned it from okay to decent. I may or may not order depending on my mood. I would do double slaw tho!The portion was the perfect size. Filling and delicious. I can't speak for service or ambiance bc it was delivery order but I would absolutely go in and try their other meats.

OH MY GOD. Came here for the first time on a Thursday to try their brisket loaded baked potato Thursday special. First of all I've never seen a potato as big as the ones they serve here. I never even thought to combine a baked potato with brisket before but I'm so happy Kiss of Smoke did because that potato was heavenly.I made sure to order ahead of time and I'm glad I did because this place was packed at lunch. We had to wait at least 10 minutes just to make it to the register to pick up our order. But it was well worth the wait. The potato is the only thing I've had here so far and I'm trying to make my way back to try other items. Their breakfast menu also caught my eye so I will be sure to try those items soon as well. 5 stars.

This is a place that needs few words! Located right down the road from the U of A Track & Field stadium, this is a must try lunch spot! All of it is tasty and the people serving it are as friendly as they can be! As you can see, we got a variety of food - the meat is tender and juicy and the sides bring a compliment to make the meal whole. No matter what you try, your tastebuds will thank you! Go check them out!

BBQ for breakfast? Why not?!? Came in around 9:45 am, not busy at all. Upon entering, I was hit with the right smells of a BBQ place. Tangy, smoked goodness. I had the pork burrito and my gf had the pork bagel. Her bagel was perfectly done with an almost cheese crisp type layer of cheese. My burrito was good but had a lot less meat than the bagel (same price, same number of eggs). We both enjoyed the regular and spicy BBQ but would have liked more of a kick. Either way, we cannot wait to come back and try more options. We would like to head back in later in the day, can't wait to try more options. We will definitely be back!

I found them when I was in the area running errands in 2019. I had heard of them, but no clue where they were. I didn't stop in the 1st time as they were closed. Then the pandemic happened and I didn't try them until today. I'm glad they survived the pandemic as those were hard times for small businesses. They're open in the mornings to serve breakfast and close when they sell out or 4 PM. I got there at about 955 AM to catch lunch service. All of the meats were great. The chicken was exceptional for chicken. The pulled pork had a different texture or pulled differently than I normally see. The brisket passed the bend test. I'm glad to see a place in Tucson that doesn't smoke with mesquite. They use a blend of woods like fruits and pecan. The mac & cheese noodles were a perfect al dente. The cheese sauce is not anything crazy, but it's good/simple. The fried okra is fried perfectly. The place appears to be in an older industrial area so you'll need to be looking for it, going to a track meet, or running errands in the area. I got to chat with the owner about competitions. He's placed at a few big ones. Great to see the hardware in a BBQ restaurant. Great BBQ joint.

This little spot my husband introduced me to. I love getting breakfast burritos, especially the beef brisket. I've ordered ribs earlier in the week for Friday pick up for VIP company. I enjoy their sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. It a guilty pleasure for sure. The dinning area is tables and chairs with a modest restroom available. I get choice of bbq sauces green, sweet and spicy with my orders. All are tasty!

Great food, clean environment, friendly people and affordable prices! I also like the Kisses chocolates they give for dessert. We will be back!

Blue collar BBQ!!! Brisket is my favorite!! The pulled pork is yummy. My only small issues are the parking is get in where you fit in & they are closed Sun-Tues and when they sell out ion the other days. You should try to get in there before 1pm or you might be SOL.

It's ridiculous how GOOD this food is. The first time I tried this place was for breakfast. I ordered the sausage bagel. I didn't know sausage could taste so good and stand out. I started coming more and have since had a few different meats including brisket, sausage, and ribs, which were all delicious. Their sides are even SO GOOD. Some of the best Mac and cheese and.... Cole slaw!? What the heck! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I've never gone out of my way to write a review but this place is just incredibly tasty and such a treat.
