The Kino Sports complex is a large show with several different tents of vendors. It can be overwhelming for a first timer. You will see a bit of everything including beads, clothing, sandals, fabrics, fur skins, crystals, raw rocks, buddhas, felted items, sculptures, etc. There are not only tents but separate vendors too. Allow at least 3-4 hours or as long as your feet will last. There are portable potty's and not a lot of seating. There is a food court.

This is a huge complex with some many revolving Tucson events, sports, and activities. I love attending the gem show at this location, but most recently I attend their pickle ball courts regularly. They are free, clean, and well maintained! I love that they have someone that mans the courts nightly, provide cold filtered water to refill on, and I also feel that the system in place when courts get full is orderly & convenient (they will announce that at a certain time they will clear the courts to refill them with who's in line. They'll usually give ample time to finish current games)! This place is also a gem for being right off the freeway! Definitely worth a visit.

My review is based on a 2004 visit to see the Cubs play the White Sox, who along with the Diamondbacks used to use this facility until a couple of years ago when both teams departed for a cushier facility in the Phoenix area. Both teams only used Tucson Electric Park for a few years, which is a shame since it was pretty new. It's part of a number of ballparks in the Kino Sports Complex which I believe is used for special events and some HS games now.The park itself was pretty nice - good access. It wasn't as easy to access the practice areas however. (Hint - when going to Spring Training games, the best time to catch the players is early morning) I had the pleasure of meeting Minnie Minoso here - a Sox legend of several decades. We had seats just a couple of rows up near the "bad guys" (White Sox) dugout. Fun time in March, albeit pretty hot for that time of year.
