First time at Kingston Kitchen, where CeeDee's used to be. The Oxtail Curry and Jerk Chicken are both tasty. The jerk kitchen was a little dry, but the lunch special was very reasonably priced at $8.99. The plantain, rice, and cabbage were also tasty. Service was fine and the interior was spacious. I would definitely come back here. Flavors were solid.

A previous customer came in and bought a lot of food. So I've been in twice and both times unable to buy ox tail. The service was a challenge. The table didn't get our food at close to the same time, an appetizer never came, I had to chase the server down for my friend's water as he was a few minutes late. I also had to chase her down for the habanero and vegetables that were part of my order. My friend didn't get his goat with his plate. I want to believe it was a bad night and I hope that I'm wrong. The flavors were great but experience was off. Place is dark and has a mom & pop feel. I'll probably try them out again, but I will call before about the ox tail. Server was friendly, but didn't execute well at all. A customer was on hold and she forgot about them. I had to stop the off the hook sound on the forgotten caller.

I got Kingston Kitchen delivered through UberEats while I was at a work conference in the area. The food was well packed and warm when it arrived. The drink arrived still icy and not watered down. I ordered the chicken and oxtail combo ($27.50) and the sorrel ($6). These prices are reflected differently on their website compared to UberEats. I enjoyed their rice and beans a lot and they were really great with the oxtails. I also got plantains on my plate and they were nicely cooked - I just wish they were crispy but I did get delivery. I enjoyed the jerk chicken but the pieces I got were more bone than meat. Overall, really solid spot for takeout. I wish I had time to try them in-person!

Don't ever miss an opportunity to have some jerk chicken or curry here. The steamed vegetables and rice and beans are also outstanding. The service is always quick and the red stripe beer is a must try. The tables are not crowded and the dining room is always clean. Just a great place for Jamaican on the east side.

I absolutely loved the food. The atmosphere was fine. The jerk chicken was a banger along with the rice and plantains. They had great hot sauces and a full bar. The service was pretty decent. The coconut shrimp was fantastic except that they only had ranch and ketchup as a dipping sauce which sucked. Look, so the overall vibe of the restaurant is great. You get to sample the Jamaican food and try many different stereotypical staples that are fantastic like the rice, jerk chicken, and plantains. This is a good restaurant.

I've been going here since I moved to Tucson. I stopped by over the past few weeks for beef patties, festivals and their lunch special. On my most recent visit I got the jerk chicken lunch special for $10 and one beef patty( total $15). It was okay. The quality of the jerk chicken isn't what it used to be. I miss the smoke grilled flavor it had because now it tastes like chicken with bbq sauce. It came with a side of cabbage and rice which were fine. The portions are perfect for lunch. My beef patty was burnt on the bottom so I had to scrape it which was annoying. I also got a side of festivals which are ALWAYS fantastic.Overall the food is okay. If you haven't had Jamaican food it's a good introduction but it's not what I remember it to be. The family that owns is very very sweet and kind whenever I come in which encourages me to keep coming back. The restaurant is small but clean.

I am not a fan of the management changes, because it affected the food quality badly. When you get the rice combo with goat and chicken, there are a lot of bones with the goat meat, and it seems like my money is going to waste. The food is becoming tasteless, so I hope it improves later on.

I ate the goat and oxtail. I had the cabbage and plantains with it. Each bit had its own taste and consistency. I did not know what to eat first. The dishes are plenty, I took some home. If you're into island cuisine this is the place.
