A fast-casual spot that offers a variety of plates, appetizers, and specialities. Came here with a group Saturday afternoon and it was bustling. There is the main dining area with mixed high tables and low tables and a separate dining area with a few larger tables for groups. I ordered the chicken katsu plate, others got the white fish plate, shrimp plate, and chicken teriyaki plate. We all agreed the portions were huge, enough for 2 meals, so you get your money's worth, which is hard to come by these days. The chicken was done perfectly, super crispy panko breading on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the katsu sauce (filled up at a condiment station) was sweet and tangy. The plates come with 2 scoops of white rice and a scoop of macaroni salad, some with veggies. The macaroni salad was a different kind of side (popular in Hawaii, is my understanding) and it almost had a mac 'n cheese quality to it versus something you'd get at a deli. I thought "veggies" meant cooked/steamed vegetables on the side but it was just the chicken sat on a bed of shredded cabbage, which I should have known having ordered katsu at Japanese restaurants before. Regardless, the food was very delicious, filling, and worth the price. I tried one of the shrimp as well and it was as good as the chicken. Service is friendly, even though they ran out of chicken so some of the orders took longer than others, and you have to stay close to the counter since they call out the order number and it can be hard to hear over the general store noise. I just wish they had a location more central because I would definitely go more often.

After living in Hawaii for years, we definitely miss the food as it is hard to find what we enjoyed in Ewa here in the mainland. Every now & then we find something close, this is one of those times. Clean dining area with plenty of seating (even has a side area with more tables). Decor is sparce (surfboards), but has the feel of a food shack off the beach.Menu is easy, and covers the staples. The Mac salad does set the tone at anyplace that says it does Hawaiian barbecue. This Mac is pretty good and comes with rice (pretty standard) and complements the main courses. We did Shrimp, Fish and three meats - chicken, kalbi, and BBQ beef. My wife loved the panko breaded shrimp & fish. I like it a little lighter on breading, but it was good. The meats were seasoned and delicious. The teriyaki chicken was juicy, and my favorite. The Kalbi was decent, but leaned on the fatty side. You got plenty of food for the price and the service was friendly & quick. My wife loved that you could get your own sauce. Overall it was a little slice of Aloha in Tucson.

Pretty good! You can usually tell if a Hawaiian BBQ spot is solid based on their mac salad and this one did not disappoint. We visited their drive thru and got their Hawaiian Mix plate and Kalbi plate. The meat was tender and seasoned well. Didn't care for the sauce cups but also didn't feel like we needed it. Definitely would come back!

Had a craving for Hawaiian food, so we decided to try this little place out. It's located in the shopping center where Costco is. They have plenty of seating inside. Service was average. It's a walk-up and order restaurant. They have a soda bar and have teriyaki and katsu sauce. I wish they also had soy sauce, but they didn't. I had their chicken teriyaki plate and it came with veggies, white rice, and macaroni salad. The portions are huge and can easily be shared. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. I was missing a bit of flavor.

Good to grab a quick bite if you want a lot of food. 15 dollars for this plate and it was packed with chicken and beef. The sauce is good too! Service is quick and the food was ready within 10 minutes. It is a fast food restaurant so don't expect much from the interior. Stomach started hurting after (I think I ate too much )

First timer here and I was happy with my choice. Although there were only two of us we ordered the family meal. We had no idea how huge the portion are. Service was good. Place was clean. The macaroni salad could be improved but every thing else absolute fire!! Veggies are on the bottom of every entree. Pleasant surprise!!

First time visit and it was delicious! The service was quick and they were very friendly. The ambiance is pretty fast paced and very chill. I got Teriyaki Chicken with no macaroni salad and instead I got extra rice, amazing!!!! They have tubs of teriyaki sauce and katsu sauce by the soda fountain that you're able to serve yourself extra of and I really liked that!! I usually ask for extra teriyaki sauce so I was able to get it myself. I also got an order of Spam Masubi which comes with two and they were so so so good!!!! I would definitely come back just for these!! I'm craving them right now... Overall, I'll be back!! I'd like to try more things from the menu and also get another order of that Spam

As someone from Hawai'i I didn't love this place. I've can think of at least two plate lunch places in Tucson I liked more. The service was nice and quick though, only reason to not rate it lower.I got the mini plate Chicken Katsu all rice. This seemed like the best deal for one choice, you could have the Mac salad instead of all rice. Around $10. The chicken katsu was just okay. The decor was also weird with the "aloha" surfboards, bright blue paint, ukelele music, no real words in the songs. Not sure if they're trying to appeal as authentic, but not close in my opinion. A lot more research could be done to be a "Hawaiian BBQ."
