Jerry Bob's

My dad has gone there for over 30 years. So when we come to visit we go there too. The stuff has been outstanding. They all so serviced my dad with kindness. A wonderful place to go for home cooked foods. I suggest everybody should go out there in Tucson.

First time here. Pretty decent size place and not a typical Jerry Bobs. Different floor plan. They do have a counter, it's hidden if you don't walk around.I didn't see it till I was leaving. I'm always interested in knowing what the building was prior, anyone know?Anyway- it was kind a slow, saw a few folks working.Our server was fabulous, very nice young man.Food was perfect, hot.Prices are typical, average. Place was clean, inviting.There is a special board with a few different deals.I noticed this PARTICULAR location (Speedway) is open Friday nights for dinner & FISH FRY. The place could us an upgrade, but if it's not broken, no need to fix it, right?Only thing that could be an issue is that parking lot. You know what I mean if you've been there.Anyway, I say yes, try it...I'll go again for sure.

Best chicken and dumplings in town! We also visit for the catfish on Fridays. Nice server staff.

Tuesday Special for Lunch... Chicken 'N Dumplings... Delicious!!! Also try the All-You-Can-Eat Friday Night Special, Fried Catfish or BBQ Pork Spare Ribs.Also highly recommend the large Grilled Chicken Salad with a side of potato salad, cold macaroni salad, Texas toast, and choice of dress! Outstanding!

We recently went to the Jerry Bob's on Speedway here in Tucson for breakfast. They have a lot of options, but I chose the Square Meal. It was a generous portion of hash browns with bits of onion. Then cubes of ham, all covered with cheese! Two eggs cooked to order, and I chose sourdough toast for my bread option.Very delicious combo. Service was friendly, coffee was refilled regularly.

Let me start by saying OMG the ribs were so tender the were coming off the bone AND the were delicious. The catfish was fried perfectly, so so good. Even the salad and coleslaw were good. I even had half a dessert, yes only half. We shared a strawberry short cake that was really good. This was hands down the best meal I've had out here in Tucson. If I was staying longer I would be here again. Oh yeah the staff was really friendly and attentive.If you're in Tucson or visiting this place is a Friday night must for the all you can eat ribs and catfish.

This is a down home comfort food place! We've been there so often I expect to hear someone call out, "Norm!" You get to know the regulars, the servers and each other here - it's a lot like Cheers! Everyone can find something to like here. My most frequently ordered item is the Huevos Garcia w/eggs over easy! But if I'm switching over to a lunch menu, then it is their Patty Melt & Fries. It never disappoints. Friday nights are good for ribs or catfish if you are so inclined.Like I said, comfort food and good staff and good neighbors!

The food and service is consistently good each time we came here. The portions are good, and the price are equally good. We usually come here for breakfast or the all you can eat fish fry during Lent. I like the good old American diner kind vibe in this place. Servers are always sweet and attentive.

This cute little restaurant had the best vegan vegetable soup ever! If there's soup served in heaven, I'm pretty sure this is it! Our waitress, Aurora was so friendly & helpful, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. Service was good, fast & efficient. This place has a feel of old nostalgia of the 50's cafe (I'm not that old but that's the vibe I got ) well spaced & clean. I'm from out of town & will definitely be back again!

On average I eat there once a week. I don't see anyway Jerry Bob's on Speedway could improve. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is just plain good. I'm not looking for ambiance for breakfast or lunch, but Jerry Bob's is what I would expect in a restaurant like this.
