Istanbul Mediterranean Cuisine & Bar

Had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Istanbul. They do not take reservations, so we decided to take our chances and show up on a holiday. The wait was only 20 minutes and went by very quickly. They have table seating and bar seating available. The portion sizes are large and the food is delicious. I ordered the Doner Platter with lamb and beef, rice, and a salad. It came out on a large plate filled with food. The meat had a ton of flavor. I didn't want to stop eating and enjoy all the flavors happening on my palette. This was a delightful restaurant with great food and friendly service!

I have alwys wanted to try this place out. I finally dropped by on a Monday early evening at 6pm. The place was busy but I was able to sit at the long bar by the front door. The interior was lighted with warm light; ideal for dining, but it was crowded and a tad loud for conversation.A server came up to me right away. I ordered a chicken doner pita with a side salad and iced tea to drink. My order came out swiftly. It was huge. I didn't get any more attention from my server once I got my food. I had to ask for a refill on my tea.The pita was big enough for two meals. There was a lot of chicken, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and Romaine salad! Most of the chicken was cut into small strips and was well spiced.The place took a lot of pick up orders during my stay. I ended up taking half my pita to go for tomorrow's breakfast.

Other than the location (tiny parking lot and out of the way for me) everything about Istanbul is great. Service was prompt and the space is cute, though the booths are much more comfortable than the tables. Food was amazing. I had the low carb spicy chicken kabobs, and I don't remember ever having chicken breast so well cooked. Even the green beans (typically not a preferred vegetable) were delicious. And I admit I ogled most of the plates that passed by, from falafel sandwiches to lentil soup- it all looked amazing. I'll be back soon to try those too.

Scored the last table at 6:45 on a Saturday night but could have had any stool at the eating bar. Our Donner Plate arrived quickly. Delicious! Very friendly server. It was noisy but a happy noisy with some large group celebrations. Nothing we couldn't talk over. Enjoy

We were in Tucson for a few days and decided to try Istanbul for dinner - food was delicious, large portions. Service was very friendly and fast.Setting is casual.We'll definitely eat there again when in town.Go try it - you won't be sorry!

Amazing food and service . A friend recommended us to go while we visiting Tucson. Very busy place . The portion of food is amazing and prices are reasonable. A bit loud when some customers have no control their conversation. Overall great food .

We always love Istanbul! They have some of the best food in town, the service is always good, and it's nice and quiet inside. No blaring music! Whenever we do something on this side of town my daughter begs to stop for the kabob!

Very good food and very good service! We were looking for something hearty to eat before seeing a long movie and happened to drive by this place. The parking was a breeze and the menu looked good, so we sat down. Our meal was ready within 15 minutes and we agreed this restaurant choice was a win! Will definitely return again in the future.

This place is the perfect spot for family night! We went here on a busy Friday night but our food came out very quick! The portion sizes were huge and the sauces were amazing. We enjoyed the spicy chicken and the doner wraps and would definitely get them again! We will be coming back to this Turkish spot!

Our first time here, we were greeted and seated right away. And our server came to get our orders. They have good service and we came in at the right time, a few minutes after we were seated, tables were getting occupied. Our service informed us that food will take a few minutes, which is not unusual, because they are freshly made. It's obvious that people come here for good food, I have seen a lot of people picking up food to go. Our food came and they have pretty big portions. And everything was delicious! I wish we have enough room for dessert! They have a few on their menu and it looked delicious! Place is clean and well organized. No fancy decoration but it's nice inside. The only negative here is their parking, is a bit tight, when you have a big car/truck.
