Ironwood OB-Gyn PC

Always had good care from Dr Hook and staff. They have an online patient portal that you can do most things minus making an appointment. They also have their own lab and imaging across the street for anything you need.

I love my doctor at Ironwood! She's terrific! I have an issue with the people in the office that do the billing. They don't seem to care and get back with you when you have a problem concerning a bill..and I was charged over the roof with my lab results and I was trying to get it figure it out within over a month and I called them every day. No one seems to call me back and I leave messages and so on. They also transfer you to pass the buck to someone else and no one calls you back. Its like your being put off. The billing people don't know how to do there jobs. Its just so rude that no one calls you back. I also feel no one cares at the office period. So if your trying to deal with your bill.. good luck! Your gonna have lot of issues being transferred a lot.

Dr. Wester was kind and listened to my concerns fully and I never felt dismissed as can sometimes be the case with doctors. It is a busy office but I didn't feel like I waited for an obscene amount of time, overall the front desk people were also friendly which when they were located across the street near TMC the front desk staff always seemed disinterested or disconnected so I definitely appreciate the improvement.

They rescheduled me 4 times .Never had my well woman for 2024 bc they rescheduled me so many timesThen my new appointment for 2025 they called and left a recording at 7AM the day of my well woman to cancel me AGAIN!Trying to get anyone on the phone is a solid 45 minute wait. They dont care when you did get a human. I was sent to another 45 minute wait and then went to voicemail. Gross negligence of care and patient support. Borderline malpractice.

Multiple awful experiences. Both my mother and I were treated very poorly with no consideration at all. No communication within the front desk, pushing back my mother's appointment which I understand things happen but to blame us for not answering twenty minutes before we walked in is ridiculous. The front desk shows no empathy or even friendliness in such an already scary healthcare environment for woman. Then to go back and be treated like cattle not knocking and barging in when I'm getting undressed, doing the procedure with no warning or information prior and no information after on what to expect. Completely unprofessional. For first timers for the gyno I DO NOT recommend.

I decided to try to trust this office after my favorite and only ever Black OB-GYN left. I made an appointment almost two months ahead of my scheduled appointment only to wait almost an hour for the doctor to see me. No one said anything as patients kept getting called left and right and I sat my whole day being wasted in a doctors waiting room. I finally got up and asked what was going on and I was told that Dr. Hook was running behind and that there was still one more person ahead of me. This never happened when Dr. Dean was a part of the practice. This place is alike a puppy mill of a doctors office. There were probably 30 or more patients that came through during the near hour I sat in the office waiting. I paid my copay so I had to continue to wait and go through with my visit but if I hadn't paid I would have walked out. No matter how good these doctors may be per some people's opinions people's time is valuable and customer service matters so I'll be seeking out a different OBGYN.

I elected to have an in office procedure in September based on Dr Studer and yelitza telling me it would be a $65 copay. Now looking at a $1,400 bill. The procedure wasn't necessary as Studer made it sound. I told her my 2 days of spotting in january were due to trying estrogen. Studer didn't listen to me. Immediately after the procedure she talked of a hysterectomy. That was BEFORE any test results came back. Completely irresponsible and frankly lied about the procedure cost. Told my pcp, she won't be sending any patients to genesis ironwood or to Dr. Studer.

Absolutely outraged with the way this office is being ran, (and I haven't even had my appointment yet). Scheduled my appointment about 6 months ago, and in those months it has been rescheduled countless times. And every time I call to accommodate THEIR schedule, I can't even get a human to pick up the phone. I eventually figured out that if you say you are a physician, they pick up the phone immediately and then act clueless when you say you've been calling them for the past hour. In the past 24 hours they have rescheduled my appointment 3 times. Having worked in medical reception myself, I truly cannot fathom the lack of care and basic competence that this office has. I even ask to speak to their manager and was placed on hold for 10 minutes until they eventually just hung up. At this point all I can do is laugh at how absolutely useless the staff at the establishment is. Will be taking my business elsewhere, not like I even have a choice.

Today my appointment was at 9am and not seen until 9:45. If I would have been late my appointment is canceled. After my appointment, I needed labs. I waited another 15 minutes until I just walked out. It blows my mind. I wish I could say this is the first time this happens but it is not. I will give it another chance with a different doctor. You schedule at a certain time for a reason. I am so frustrated so before I start naming names, I will just say something is definitely wrong with your the system.

I'm not sure what happened with the office, but I've been trying to get in for a follow up appointment and annual since late January. Every time I call, I leave a voice mail in addition to speaking to actual live humans. It's to the point where I'm wanting to get another doctor elsewhere or just take the time out of my personal busy schedule to go there in person (just to make an appointment)... because either the doctors aren't giving a you-know-what anymore or the office staff has taken a turn for the worse since January. I'd say to people who are looking for an OB-GYN... keep looking. The whiplash of sensing you're actually being cared for vs they don't care isn't worth it.
